Clinician ID Barcode Scanning
What Do We Scan?3. Medication
EPIC 2-D barcode
NDC
Medications can still be manually selected from drug library within each profile
4. Without integration scanning must occur in both Epic® and Alaris®
What’s In Our Drug Library That We Scan?
We put everything in our library that runs on the pump (duration doesn’t matter) However some entries do point to a couple of
generic Fluids but at least the clinician has something to scan and profile specific settings are in place.
We Do NOT do irrigations, dialysis, epidurals
We only scan NDC barcodes on pre-made bags and fluids

We are in the very EARLY stages of testing
