Lubrication Specialists was established in 1998 as a joint venture company between Exxon Mobil and Manica Group Namibia in order to compliment the re-introduction of the Mobil Brand into Southern Africa.
In August 2009, Manica Group Namibia acquired 100% shares in Lubrication Specialists, which made it a wholly owned company of Manica. Lubrication Specialists has since then emerged as the largest single supplier of Marine and Industrial Lubricants in Namibia selling Engen and Mobil products.
In 2014, Lubrication Specialists signed an Authorised Distributorship deal with Exxon Mobil to exclusively provide Mobil lubricants, oils, greases and other products to the marine, industrial and commercial sectors.
We have various distribution centres throughout Namibia, to ensure quicker deliveries and to provide our customers with easier access to our range of Mobil lubricants.

Social ResponsibilityAs part of Bidvest Namibia, Lubrication Specialists is very aware of its responsibilities towards the country, the environment and the communities it operates in.
Since the company’s humble beginning as a Marine Lubes distributor with only two employees, it has grown into a significant job provider within the Namibian economy employing 30 permanent employees. The company’s various warehouses and distribution centres country-wide all contribute to the creation of livelihood in rural areas. Our annual budget includes financial support to a variety of charities, environmental causes, educational and community upliftment programmes.
Major initiatives include:
9 providing monthly formula milk to destitute babies of single mothers.
9 sponsorships and donations to educational and health related initiatives.
9 equipment sponsorship for Hyena, Vulture, Dolphin conservation and research projects.
9 Kickstart assistance to SMEs 9 bursaries and educational support.
BEE / ProcurementLubrication Specialists follows an Affirmative Action plan and is certified compliant to national legislation by the Employment Equity Commissioner.
The company also forms part of the group’s BEE scorecard, and is monitored on Equity Ownership, Employment Equity, Skills Development, Preferential Procurement and Social Responsibility.
Certified a “Good Contributor” by the Namibian National Preferential Procurement Organisation, Lubrication Specialists ensures that it makes use of local suppliers and service providers as far as possible and where needed in distributing its products.
