Hi Kaaka Raji said

Raji opened her mouth to take abite of bajji

The crow flew up grabbed thebajji and flew away

Raji jumped up leapt over thecompound wall and startedrunning down the road

Give that back you uselessfood-stealing peanut-brainedcrow Raji shouted

The crow was flying slowly Its body was getting bigger and heavier

Worse its wings were getting smaller

Ill get you soon Raji said

Salim came cycling down theroad

The tired crow dropped from thesky and fell on Salim and hiscycle CRASH

Raji ran up to them

Salim was lying on the groundwith his cycle There was a weirdcreature on his head flappingwildly It was large and strongAnd it had teeth It bit Salimhard

CHOMP

Aaaarghh screamed SalimYour crow is eating me

Thatrsquos not my crow Raji said Actually itrsquos not a crow at all

They looked at the not-crow

Yoursquore right Thatrsquos a dinosaur yelled Salim

The crow-dinosaur flapped andran towards the bazaar

What if it bites more peopleasked Raji

We should stop it Salimreplied

The crow-dinosaur stomped through the bazaar yelling KAA KRAAAAA and knocking everyone over

Only Prof Aunty watched it with wonder Is thathellip Am I losing my mind Could it be a real live theropod

Prof Aunty have you seen hellipasked Raji and Salim

She said A bird-dinosaur Yes Ihave Where did you get thatcreature she said Theyrsquoresupposed to be extinct Ive beenstudying them all my life and Iveonly seen old bones

The ex-crow headed out of the bazaar

Raji and Salim and Prof Aunty followed

Raji ran extra fast and threw herself at it

They are aaahhellip the samehelliphamaahellip family panted ProfAunty Birds and dinosaurs ImeanItrsquos evolving backwards

A lizard ran by and the dinosaursnapped at it

Yuck gross cannibal shoutedRaji

Itrsquos like if I ate my cousins saidSalim

No it isnrsquot Prof Aunty saidBirds are descended fromdinosaurs So theyrsquore fairly closeto crocodiles But lizards are anentirely different kind of reptile

The crow-dinosaur curled up onthe ground and made anunhappy noise Kraa-kroomp

I think itrsquos sad it can no longerfly said Salim

Raji patted its snout kindly

They went to Prof Auntyrsquos houseOn the table was a plate of bajjis

Mmm Raji said

Kraaa said the dinosaur It stretched as tall as ProfAunty snatched the entireplate crunched the bajjisand the steel

Then it made a loud BURP and stuck all its teeth out in a huge happy grin Kaaaa

Raji and Salim exchanged a grin and said together Kaakasaurus Rex

Birds are descended from a family of dinosaurscalled theropods They are often called livingdinosaurs Apart from a few differences birds anddinosaurs are really very similar

Birds Shorter tail-bones Long smooth feathers for flying scales on feet andsometimes necks Beaks no teeth Large wings Light hollow bones

Dinosaurs Long tails Scales and short fuzzy feathers Snouts lots of teeth Small wings incapable of flight Heavier bones

They are aaahhellip the samehelliphamaahellip family panted ProfAunty Birds and dinosaurs ImeanItrsquos evolving backwards

Yuck gross cannibal shoutedRaji

Itrsquos like if I ate my cousins saidSalim

No it isnrsquot Prof Aunty saidBirds are descended fromdinosaurs So theyrsquore fairly closeto crocodiles But lizards are anentirely different kind of reptile

The crow-dinosaur curled up onthe ground and made anunhappy noise Kraa-kroomp

I think itrsquos sad it can no longerfly said Salim

Raji patted its snout kindly

They went to Prof Auntyrsquos houseOn the table was a plate of bajjis

Mmm Raji said

Kraaa said the dinosaur It stretched as tall as ProfAunty snatched the entireplate crunched the bajjisand the steel

Then it made a loud BURP and stuck all its teeth out in a huge happy grin Kaaaa

Raji and Salim exchanged a grin and said together Kaakasaurus Rex

Yuck gross cannibal shoutedRaji

Itrsquos like if I ate my cousins saidSalim

No it isnrsquot Prof Aunty saidBirds are descended fromdinosaurs So theyrsquore fairly closeto crocodiles But lizards are anentirely different kind of reptile

The crow-dinosaur curled up onthe ground and made anunhappy noise Kraa-kroomp

I think itrsquos sad it can no longerfly said Salim

Raji patted its snout kindly

They went to Prof Auntyrsquos houseOn the table was a plate of bajjis

Kraaa said the dinosaur It stretched as tall as ProfAunty snatched the entireplate crunched the bajjisand the steel

Then it made a loud BURP and stuck all its teeth out in a huge happy grin Kaaaa

Raji and Salim exchanged a grin and said together Kaakasaurus Rex

Raji and Salim and Prof Aunty followed

Raji ran extra fast and threw herself at it

They are aaahhellip the samehelliphamaahellip family panted ProfAunty Birds and dinosaurs ImeanItrsquos evolving backwards

A lizard ran by and the dinosaursnapped at it

Yuck gross cannibal shoutedRaji

Itrsquos like if I ate my cousins saidSalim

No it isnrsquot Prof Aunty saidBirds are descended fromdinosaurs So theyrsquore fairly closeto crocodiles But lizards are anentirely different kind of reptile

The crow-dinosaur curled up onthe ground and made anunhappy noise Kraa-kroomp

I think itrsquos sad it can no longerfly said Salim

Raji patted its snout kindly

They went to Prof Auntyrsquos houseOn the table was a plate of bajjis

Mmm Raji said

Kraaa said the dinosaur It stretched as tall as ProfAunty snatched the entireplate crunched the bajjisand the steel

Then it made a loud BURP and stuck all its teeth out in a huge happy grin Kaaaa

Raji and Salim exchanged a grin and said together Kaakasaurus Rex

Birds are descended from a family of dinosaurscalled theropods They are often called livingdinosaurs Apart from a few differences birds anddinosaurs are really very similar

Birds Shorter tail-bones Long smooth feathers for flying scales on feet andsometimes necks Beaks no teeth Large wings Light hollow bones

Yuck gross cannibal shoutedRaji

Itrsquos like if I ate my cousins saidSalim

No it isnrsquot Prof Aunty saidBirds are descended fromdinosaurs So theyrsquore fairly closeto crocodiles But lizards are anentirely different kind of reptile

The crow-dinosaur curled up onthe ground and made anunhappy noise Kraa-kroomp

I think itrsquos sad it can no longerfly said Salim

Raji patted its snout kindly

They went to Prof Auntyrsquos houseOn the table was a plate of bajjis

Mmm Raji said

Kraaa said the dinosaur It stretched as tall as ProfAunty snatched the entireplate crunched the bajjisand the steel

Then it made a loud BURP and stuck all its teeth out in a huge happy grin Kaaaa

Raji and Salim exchanged a grin and said together Kaakasaurus Rex

Birds are descended from a family of dinosaurscalled theropods They are often called livingdinosaurs Apart from a few differences birds anddinosaurs are really very similar

Itrsquos like if I ate my cousins saidSalim

No it isnrsquot Prof Aunty saidBirds are descended fromdinosaurs So theyrsquore fairly closeto crocodiles But lizards are anentirely different kind of reptile

The crow-dinosaur curled up onthe ground and made anunhappy noise Kraa-kroomp

I think itrsquos sad it can no longerfly said Salim

Raji patted its snout kindly

They went to Prof Auntyrsquos houseOn the table was a plate of bajjis

Mmm Raji said

Kraaa said the dinosaur It stretched as tall as ProfAunty snatched the entireplate crunched the bajjisand the steel

Then it made a loud BURP and stuck all its teeth out in a huge happy grin Kaaaa

Raji and Salim exchanged a grin and said together Kaakasaurus Rex

Birds are descended from a family of dinosaurscalled theropods They are often called livingdinosaurs Apart from a few differences birds anddinosaurs are really very similar

Birds Shorter tail-bones Long smooth feathers for flying scales on feet andsometimes necks Beaks no teeth Large wings Light hollow bones
