Imagine that you are the Secretary of the School Hobby Club . This year you are planning to on a WATER RAFTING Expedition to the Himalayas. Write an ARTICLE on Water Rafting for your school magazine . Use the information given :

What is water rafting? : It is an adventure sport in which expeditions are taken down rivers. Anybody can participate in this sport – other sport require training – in river rafting you’re given the equipment , a safety briefing & you are ready for the trip.

Which rivers are suitable? : A good place to go on a water rafting is on the Ganga – specially Devaprag – waters of the Alaknanda & Bhagirathi meet .

What should we wear on a water rafting expedition ? : The most comfortable – simple T – shirt and tights – dry quickly – wear wet suits and woolen thermals while sailing.

What equipment do we need ? : Rubber raft made3 of tear – resistant nylon – an oar for the guide and paddles for the oarsman ( that’s you ) – helmet , wet suits and life jackets – camping equipment : tents , dry bags , food for a 2-3 day expedition .
