His reign at the top is propelled by consecutive #1’s on both the Hot 100 and iTunes charts. Spotify proves to be the outlier once again, with The Weeknd’s Starboy ft. Daft Punk at #1 for another week. The sentiment for the last two weeks has been that Neiked’s Sexual is a serious contender for #1. It’s now one step closer to being a reality this week following its move to #3 from #5. The art collective’s breakout track now sits at #2 on the Hot 100, with its biggest supporter being the Nova Network where it is currently the most played track for the week. The track’s place at #3 on the iTunes chart is not to be scoffed at either. But Spotify is proving to be the platform that is keeping it behind; it’s currently at #23 on its fourth week in the Spotify chart. Clean Bandit’s new single Rockabye ft. Sean Paul and Anne-Marie makes a noteworthy debut at #16 on the Artist Top 50, coinciding with a successful week at commercial radio where it was the seventh most added track. Currently at #19 on the Hot 100 and #39 on the Spotify chart. TMN predicts this track will be a contender in the coming weeks, as confirmed by the Shazam Future Hits chart (see Trending & Predictive charts below). James Arthur has had a major breakthrough with Say You Won’t Let Go. The track taken from his ARIA Top 10 album Back From The Edge will inevitably move on, however. AUSTRALIAN SINGLES REPORT

James Arthur’s Say You Won’t Let Go is the undisputed #1 single across Australia for another week, dominating multiple platforms and securing another #1 on the Artist Top 50.

That’s why Arthur’s next single Safe Inside comes at an opportune time. Receiving a service just as he arrives in the country for a performance on The X Factor, it has the potential to fill the gap that will be left by its predecessor.

Sigma brings drum and bass back to commercial with Find Me ft. Birdy. The track has already been added to BBC Radio 1, KISS & Capital in the UK while clocking up over 2.5 million streams on Spotify.

Noah Cyrus’ debut single Make Me (Cry) is set to be a contender while Thundamentals hit commercial with their accessible cut Think About It ft. Peta & The Wolves, released in the midst of their current national tour. Go to www.themusicnetwork.com/charts to view all last week’s Singles To Radio and Most Added singles. See every addition on every station in Radioactive.

Surprising everyone at #1 is the new Zara Larsson single I Would Like. Released as an instant grat track and never officially serviced to radio, it saw additions to almost every network, notably scoring a Nova Nights addition. It out-performed Adele’s Water Under The Bridge which came in at #2 followed by Fergie’s Life Goes On.

Charli XCX’s After The Afterparty made serious progress two weeks after its official service with Ash London Live and Nova jumping on the track.

Amy Shark’s first venture on commercial radio, Adore, has been well received. It follows her official signing to Sony Music last week. The track, which has largely been an alternative success, saw additions to Nova 106.9, the Hit Regional Network and Ash London Live. It also took #6 on the Most Added chart.

James Arthur remains steadfast at #1 on the Hot 100 for a fourth week straight with his ARIA #1 Say You Won’t Let Go. It should come as no surprise given that it’s the most played track on the Hit Network, and sits in the Top 3 of both the Nova and KIIS networks.

Neiked’s breakout single Sexual further cemented its traction at radio, now at #2 from #3. It’s also sitting firmly at #1 on the Nova Network’s spin count.

Nick Murphy’s new Stop Me (Stop You) is now on top of the Hot 100 Breakers chart, following a successful first week at alternative radio. Even a slight increase in spins ought to propel this into the main Hot 100 chart.

Train’s Play That Song is the #1 Heatseeker following its move to #67 from #95. TLC’s Haters follows at #2 after its jump from #52 on the Hot 100, correlating with the success their current Australian tour is experiencing.

San Cisco’s Slomo is now the most played track on triple j for a second week in a row. Meanwhile blink-182’s latest release She’s Out Of Her Mind has shot up to #2 on the Triple M spin count.

The explosive lead single from High Times For Low Lives is a clear statement of intent for the Sydney four-piece. Produced with Grammy Award-winning producer Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Fun., Sleigh Bells) its clarion call vocals and instrumentation are draped in swathes of funk, electro and hip-hop stylings, making it the first radio-ready ear-worm set to drive fans bonkers over summer.

Selected for their recent NBC Today Show appearance, the single shows why The Griswolds have become a sensation in the US where it’s currently climbing Alt-Nation’s Alt18 Chart. Out Of My Head has also been praised by Aussie reviewers including Acid Stag, the AU Review and Rolling Stone who just awarded the new album 4 Stars.

AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL CHARTS

We all remember Stolen Dance... Introducing the German alt-rock duo’s new single Cocoon... Milky Chance returned spectacularly with new track Cocoon on November 11, which arguably doubles as their most infectious yet.

Following up from 2014’s ARIA #8 LP Sadnecessary, Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch have captivated fans combining reggae, house, flamenco, pop, folk and singer-songwriter elements. As its name and sound implies, Cocoon brings forth a palpable sense of returning to a place of serenity, or in Rehbein’s own words; “trying to find a place where you can be yourself and not be distracted; to slow down and reflect on yourself.”

A deep, organic warmth in the instrumental arrangements combined with Rehbein’s raw, raspy voice see the duo remain true to themselves and their origins whilst still delivering an accessible sound, primed for commercial radio.

On the first page of this report, TMN forecasted that Clean Bandit’s Rockabye ft. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie would be a serious contender on the Artist Top 50. The Shazam Future Hits chart is reflective of this, with Rockabye topping the chart ahead of Peking Duk’s Stranger and Jonas Blue’s By Your Side. Clean Bandit broke out in 2014 with Rather Be ft. Jess Glynne, the 9th Most Heard on commercial radio that year.

Rae Sremmurd’s Black Beatles is setting new peaks for the duo in Australia. Their biggest local crossover success yet, it’s just debuted at #48 on the TMN Artist Top 50, #60 on the Hot 100, and holds #40 on Spotify. What’s more, just last week it gave the group their first ever #1 on the Billboard 100.

The international LyricFind chart proves to be reflective of the current sentiments of the US. At #1 and #2 are Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah and Suzanne respectively - a direct reaction to the death of the iconic singer-songwriter. Further down the list is David Bowie’s This Is Not America, R.E.M.’s It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine), and another Bowie cut in the form of I’m Afraid Of Americans, which no doubt is a reaction to the recent US presidential election.

PNAU’s new banger Chameleon dominates the Spotify Viral chart at #1, even outperforming Nick Murphy’s Stop Me (Stop You) which sits at #3. Rae Sremmurd’s Black Beatles sits at #6, further proof that the track is trending across Australia.

SYNC ALERT

Sofi Tukker’s single Drinkee will provide the sonic backdrop for McDonald’s 12-month marketing campaign to redefine the global brand. The partnership was sealed through Level Two Music and Copyright Control. With the campaign set to run through to late next year, Sofi Tukker will surely benefit from increased exposure.

Lion’s biggest beer brand, XXXX Gold has launched a brand new advertising campaign called ‘Take in the Gold’ which aims to inspire Australians to get the most out of the simple things in life... all the while enjoying a XXXX Gold. The campaign visuals are brilliantly synced to Muddy Waters’ iconic blues track Mannish Boy with its massive hook and key lyric paying homage to manhood. Music Sales represents the stellar catalogue of Muddy Waters and his Chess label mates Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Little Walter and many other R&B greats.

‘Take in the Gold’ kicked off on November 6 and will run for 18 months across national TV, online, and out-of-home channels.

Apple has teamed up with new duo Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam, employing their track In A Blackout to accompany the expectedly aggressive advertising campaign for Apple’s new flagship smartphone device, iPhone 7.

Secured by LA advertising agency TBWA/Media Arts Lab, the song lends appropriately to Apple’s ‘Midnight’ commercial, showcasing the iPhone 7’s imprssive low light camera capacity.

This is undoubtedly the American duo’s highest profile sync to date, not counting Rostam’s previous sync deals with former band Vampire Weekend that saw their 2008 single A-Punk appear in comedy film Step Brothers and TV series The Inbetweeners.

Peking Duk’s domination of the Hot 100 Australian and Alternative charts now rivals that of Sia’s dominance on the AIR charts. Stranger ft. Elliphant holds the Australian chart for a second week in a row and returns to the top of the Alternative chart, where it debuted three weeks ago.

San Cisco’s Slomo makes gains up the alternative chart at #2 up from #3 on the Alternative chart, coinciding with its #3 placing on the triple j Hit List and #1 on the triple j Spins chart.

Holding the top of triple j Hit List is Nicole Millar’s Signals, which is currently #3 on the Spins chart and #5 on the Hot 100 Alternative chart. It leads ahead of Sticky Fingers’ Sad Songs, which is now back at #2 from #3.

WAAX’s Same Same tops Metro community radio on the Amrap chart, while Brian Cadd’s Long Time Till The First Time establishes itself as the dominant force in Regional community radio.

Sia’s The Greatest ft. Kendrick Lamar holds the AIR Singles chart; although Nick Murphy’s Stop Me (Stop You) debuts at #2, making for the first real competition in months. Elsewhere, the AIR Radio Play chart remains largely stagnant with The Greatest again holding onto #1.
