MEMORANDUM

TO: AUSA Awards Committee

FROM: John Davies, Colonel, USA, Ret.Director, Regional Activities

SUBJECT: Statistical and Judgmental Best Chapter Awards – 2012-2013

DATE: July 24, 2013

Attached are the recommendations for this year’s Chapter Awards, some of which are based upon statistical data and others are judgmental in nature. Those recommendations for statistical awards are based on information concerning chapters as maintained in our membership database, while the award recommendations for judgmental awards are based on information submitted by the chapters during the past operational year. They are provided for your consideration and decision.

This year’s competition is among chapters of approximately equal membership goals. The use of goals as the basis for grouping chapters was incorporated into a revision of the awards program outlined to chapters. Additionally, to provide more opportunities for recognition, a Fourth group was expanded, and the groups were revised accordingly.

Chapter groupings are:

Group 1 Over 1,500Group 2 900 -1,500Group 3 500 - 899Group 4 250 - 499Group 5 Less than 250
