LED lighting is Green Hue because it affects actual skin tones for both of

the oriental and the western.

• LED light source is created by combination of RGB. The Red tone and

Skin tone are considered the most important colors (for the Western &

the Oriental) when shooting video/movie/photo. This can be shown with

numbers and the CRI is a way to measure it and the unit is Ra.

A higher CRI is considered GOOD in the fields. The Halogen light is average over

Ra 90 which is considered EXCELLENT. But it’s color temperature is tungsten color

(3200k).

• The CRI of most of LED lights in the market is average Ra 77 ~ Ra 80 only with

Daylight color (5500k). If somebody says that he has a LED lights with CRI over

Ra 90, ask him about it’s color temperature. It should be tungsten color.
