Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas Talent Search – 2019 Golden Jubilee Celebrations (1969-2019)

With the Benevolent Grace and Blessings of our Beloved Bhagawan Baba, Tirpur District was bestowed with the blessed opportunity of hosting the State Level Balvikas Talent Search (SLBTS) for the year 2019, on the 25th December, 2019.

This annual carnival of Tamilnadu Balvikas movement has been in vogue since the last forty years. BV children who have excelled themselves under various categories of competition at samithi level and have secured first and second place at district level are given a chance to participate in the state level competitions. Elocution in English and Tamil, Bhajans, Vedam chanting, Sloka chanting, Quiz, Group singing and drawing competitions were held for Group II and Group III children and Drawing competition for Group I children during this event and the top three rankers were honored with a ‘Certificate of Excellence’ and a memento. All the other participants were also encouraged by giving them a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’. The event venue bore a festive look with more than 1500 devotees comprising of more than 325 BV Children all across the state and 25 District Educational Coordinators along with the parents and BV Gurus of various samithis. The two-day programme featured opening of an Exhibition on 24th Devember 2019 by the Udumenlpet Samithi members on the various aspects of Balvikas and Bhagwan’s message. The Exhibition was inaugurated by National Vice President – Shri.N.Ramani and State Trust Convener Shri.B.Ramesh while the Mangal deep was lit by the State Educational Coordinator- Smt. Dr. Ramadevi. It was truly a wonderful exhibit that won the accolades of all the visitors and devotees which showcased the priceless teachings of Bhagwan and was explained by the BV Children who prepared these exhibits under the guidance of their BV Gurus.

The evening program commenced with a Rathosavam organized by the members of the SSSSO-Tirpur district where in Bhagwan’s photo was decorated on a palanquin and was brought to the event venue by the BV Children in a procession with vedam chanting and singing Bhajans. The SEC Smt.Dr.Ramadevi then addressed the gathering highlighting the importance of Balvikas movement and the significance of our role in it. Later on, senior BV Gurus were honored with a priceless momento for their invaluable service to the Balviaks movement in the state for over three decades. The evening program concluded with a cultural program by Balvikas children and the student of Sri Sathya Sai Marticulation School of Tirpur, who put up a scintillating show.

Many DEC’s who have been honored during the event were in for a pleasant surprise from our Beloved Bhagwan . A saree was gifted to them and when they opened the cover in which the saree was packed our Beloved Bhagavan had showered the saree with full of vibhuthi materializations. In fact, some of the files given to the judges also contained Vibuthi blessings. Most of the events were judged by the past balvikas students and SSS University alumnus.

The second day started off with Omkaram, Suprabatham and Nagar sankirtan. The competition for the various events were then held at Sri Sai Matric School. Simultaneously a parenting program was conducted by Mrs. Sudha Shyamkumar and Mrs. Lakshmi Vaidyanathan for all the parents and BV Gurus who had come to attend the talent search Program. Krishnamurthy shared his experiences with Bhagwan and Former District President of Dindugal Sri.Narayanan addressed the gathering with his vibrant speech on the various aspects of parenting. State President Sri. Venugopal, Metro President Sri. S.R.Chandrasekaran, State Vice President Sri.K.R.Suresh and the guest of honor Sri. Gunasekaran (Tirpur South Constituency MLA) shared their views about the program and significance of Balvikas. Impressed by the exhibition, Sri.Gunasekaran, emphasized that the Sri Sathya Sai Ballvikas curiculam has to be implemented in all the government schools in the district and also assured to extend all the necessary support to take the exhibition to all the schools in the district. Prizes to the winners of the various events were then distributed to the first three rankers by the dignitaries.

Our former State President- Sri.G.Varadhan, SRP Coordinator – Sri.Jayaraj , Sri Sathya Sai Trust member Sri.M.Bhoopal and Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publications Trust members – Sri Vijaykumar and Sri.Ramesh, and State Spiritual Coordinator Smt. Kavitha Murali were also present during this two day talent search program.

The program concluded by offering Maha Mangala Aarthi to our Beloved Bhagwan.
