Next Thursday (2-23) will be the Reader. The piece will be J.R.R. Tolkien’s short story, “Leaf By Niggle.” All are welcome to come to the conversation.

A bit of brief background for us to consider….Most of us know Tolkien as the author of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Some quick biographical facts: he was born in South Africa near the turn of the last century, fought in the trenches of World War I, and was best friends with C.S. Lewis for many years.

I hope this piece will challenge us and stimulate some interesting discussion. I look forward to hearing your thoughts.
