A Little Bit Of Quiet Can Make A Big Impression – You’ll Be In Demand When You Install With QuietFlex Duct Wrap. Quietflex duct wrap is an external insulation for sheet metal ducts in HVAC systems that absorbs unwanted noise within the duct and decreases heat loss or gain through the duct walls. Increase productivity with a wrap that’s easy to install – This product is designed with the contractor in mind, providing quick and simple installation around metal ducts. Plus, it meets code requirements. Simplify maintenance calls with a product that lasts – This duct wrap is resistant to bacterial and fungal growth. It’s also easy to clean and maintain. According to the Energy Security and Independence Act, after May 1, 2013, homes are required to be equipped with high-efficiency furnaces. This calls for gas furnaces installed in the North Region (which is most states north of Oklahoma) to have at least a 90% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating, compared to the current 78% AFUE rating. This means that many homeowners may need to either install a condensing gas furnace or upgrade to a newer non-condensing gas furnace. The Department of Energy’s (DOE) furnace standards will go in effect sooner than you think. Help your customers start preparing now! August 2012 HVAC

Do Your HomeworkHave you ever been in a conversation that seems to revolve entirely around the other person? Try as you might, somehow the “gravity” of every story seems to pull towards the other party. When I am in these types of conversations I struggle to feel any connection. It’s as if I’m a spectator and the conversation will go on with or without my participation.

When you are trying to build a relationship, the most obvious way to avoid making the other party feel this way is to ask questions – lots of them. After all, not only do you learn about their situation, you also make them the most important participant in the conversation. But there is another way to ensure that they feel valuable: do some homework before you meet with them.

Customers are impressed when they see that you’ve put in the work to learn about them before your meeting. They love the fact that your questions are insightful. When you are

informed, your conversation can move on to important details much

faster, skipping past the preliminary

fact-finding. Not only are you showing them how much you value their business, you are saving them time, and that always makes a big impression.

Obviously, this is especially effective in new partnerships, but don’t slack off with your longtime relationships. There is always something new to learn, and the more important you make people feel, the more productive your conversations will become.
