Grand Junction Gem and Mineral Club President Letter Letter from your President August 2020 Hello all you members of the Grand Junction Gem and Mineral Club. WOW! WHAT A CRAZY YEAR! It is amazing that we are still under masks. Still our life in such a mess. Thank you all for your patience with the SHOW, NO SHOW DEAL that we are going through. It was not my desire to stop the show, but, we just could not align ourselves with all the restrictions that the state and county put on us to be able to have the SHOW. BUT----We voted at our last outdoor meeting on August 28th to have a GJGMC ROCK SALE!! This will be outdoors at our clubhouse. Members will be selling from their personal collections. Members will sell from their tables (the club will provide the tables).

The split will be the same as the auction – 75% to the member, 25% to the club. The dates: September 18th and 19th The time: 9am to 4pm - both days

Please contact me for your table number and instructions. If you have a table, it is your responsibility to man that table. If you are unable to man your table the entire time, it is your responsibility to find someone to help you out. The club will not be responsible for manning tables other than their own. An update on our rezoning: we have now finished that step, so the next part of our expansion to the clubhouse is in full swing. Getting the costs of construction possibilities and determining what we can present tot possible persons who will grant us monies for the project. Your input in this stage is wanted and needed for the benefit of the club, many have much more expertise to help with this. Our next meeting will be September 10th. Please bring your lawn chairs in the event we still have to meet outside to follow “large group” protocols. Thank you all, Wayne Sims
