BUMC ADULT CHOIR
Rehearsals begin September 8th and will be held on Thursday nights
from 7:00 to 8:30 PM. We are looking for new members to commit
through at least the end of December. We NEED voices and we are
excited about learning a variety of beautiful Christmas music for our
all music Sunday in December.

BUMC Kid’s Choir starts Wednesday, September 9 from 6:00 - 6:30
pm and rehearsals are held every Wednesday that AWANA meets. We
have a blast learning a variety of songs each year, and the kid’s have
the opportunity to participate in leading worship. Open to all children
Kindergarten through 5th grade.

PILGRIM’S PROGRESS- Using John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress,
part one, as an imaginative guide to the Christian life, we will visit
interesting places, make friends, encounter enemies along with
Pilgrim, and deal with very real issues in contemporary life.
Facilitator: Bill Scott; this class will meet in Room 201.
Beginning September 11
REVIVAL- In this class we will delve into 12 major revivals that hit
the western church from 1500 through to 2016. We will acquaint
ourselves with the kind of people God can use. And see how revival
changes the church, the society, and the people.
Facilitator - Brian Maskel; class will meet in Turner Lounge.

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY
In a nine-week class, you’ll learn Dave Ramsey’s seven easy-to-
follow Baby Steps to create a budget, get out of debt, and make a
plan for your money! Plus, your FPU membership includes 16 weeks
of online access to view each lesson anytime! This is the standart
FPU class reformatted to be utilized at Sunday School. Watch the
videos at home and participate in class discussion. Cost for this
class is $100 per family.

continuously filled with the joy of the Lord

possession, that they might experience the Lord’s
healing and deliverance
TUESDAY: Pray that those within the television industry would truly
dedicate themselves to producing more shows that are
uplifting, heart-warming, and suitable for all ages
rather than episodes which are gratuitously violent,
sexually explicit, and appealing to the worst of human
nature
WEDNESDAY: Pray that the Holy Spirit would impart to you or
whoever He chooses the spiritual gift of pastoring, that
they might shepherd, guide, and protect sisters and
brothers in Christ amid the ups and downs of both one’s
family life and one’s church ministry
THURSDAY: Pray for unreached people groups and other unsaved
folks in the island nation of Fiji
FRIDAY: Pray for those who are returning to pre-, elementary, middle,
or senior high school, that they might not only gain
academic knowledge, but also grow in the wisdom of
God

GENERAL INFORMATION
Our ministry philosophy is found in two great texts in the Bible,
known as the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39)
and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
