Dear Members,
What a great Fourth of July, great weather, good friends and family, hope all of you enjoyed the holiday.
Thanks for all your patience the road repairs are about completed; yea!!!!!!
Please keep in mind the lake will be busy this summer lets make it a safe for all. Speaking of the lake, for those using the sand bar, keep in mind your neighbors live by there and be considerate of their property and loud noise late at night.
If you have suggestions or ideas contact me or any board member.
Have a great summer.

GOLF COURSE SERVICE ROAD
As we head into the summer months and invite more guests to visit, it is time to remind our residents that the service (dirt) road behind the front nine of the golf course is not a thru street. This is the dirt road from the office/maintenance complex to Lago Vista. There are signs at both ends of this road advising it is not a thru street. Traffic on this road is restricted to service/maintenance vehicles, golf carts and atv type vehicles for two primary reasons.
First, this road is not paved or maintained as a through street and not designed for a normal traffic flow. Heavy rains typically cause large ruts which require periodic maintenance. Using this road as a thru street further increases the maintenance requirement, diverting limited resources away from higher priorities.
The second and most important reason this road is not to be used for thru traffic is safety. The service road provides a convenient and safe route for golfers to go to and from the club house without competing with vehicles on Tanglewood Drive. Additionally, it provides for the same safe route to and from the office, landfill and off road trails for golf carts, atvs and Polaris type utility vehicles.
We ask all residents and guests to use the paved and named streets for motor vehicle travel. Be safe and courteous.

LIBRARY NEWS
FICTION One Mountain Away by Emilie Richards. First book in the Goddesses Anonymous series. Charlotte Hale, a tough real estate developer, is at the top of the mountain, but her life is empty. One terrifying day she faces her own mortality and vows to make amends. The One and Only by Emily Giffin, the author of five other best-selling novels. She returns with an extraordinary story of love and loyalty – and an unconventional heroine struggling to reconcile both. Inside Man by Jeff Abbott. Number 4 in the Sam Capra series. Sam’s best friend, Steve, has been murdered, shot outside his Miami bar. The only lead is a mysterious, beautiful stranger Steve tried to protect. Sam goes undercover to avenge his death. By Allan Folsom, who died in May: The Day After Tomorrow (1994), Day of Confession (1998), The Exile (2004), The Machiavelli Covenant (2006), and The Hadrian Memorandum (2009). In 1993, the first book set a record $2 million for purchase by a publisher and was the best ever at that time for a first-time novelist. For 30 years, Mr. Folsom worked in Hollywood as a screenwriter. The stories are fast-paced and keep you on the edge of your chair! The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith. Galbraith is the pseudonym J. K. Rowling (Harry Potter series) uses for her mystery stories with Cormoran Strike, private detective. This is the second one in the series. Cormoran is hired by a novelist’s wife to find her missing husband. The writer has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen portraits of almost everyone he knows. The Red Room by Ridley Pearson. The incomparable and often incompatible duo of John Knox and Grace Chu team up again for an international thriller. This time they are in Istanbul, “the city between two worlds.” W is for Wasted by Sue Grafton. We have replaced this 2013 release lost by a patron. AUDIO CDs The Heist by Daniel Silva. Gabriel Allon, art restorer and occasional spy, searches for a stolen masterpiece by Caravaggio. The Girls of August by Anne Rivers Siddons. Four women in their 20s bond when their husbands are in medical school. Wayfaring Stranger by James Lee Burke. The story begins in West Texas in 1934, travels through World War II, and brings us to the super rich of Houston and the oil/pipeline business.

Act of War by Brad Thor. This is number 13 in the Scott Harvath series. After a CIA agent mysteriously dies overseas, his top asset surfaces with a startling and terrifying claim. Can she be trusted? Midnight in Europe by Alan Furst. On the eve of WWII, a Spanish émigré in Paris agrees to help a clandestine agency supply weapons for the Spanish Republic. His unlikely cohorts include idealists, gangsters, aristocrats, arms traders, spies, and an American woman he could never forget. Terminal City by Linda Fairstein. The author captures the essence of New York City in her novels – this time Grand Central Terminal (Grand Central Station to me!). The body of a young woman is found in the tower suite of the Waldorf Astoria and is marked with a symbol that bears a striking resemblance to train tracks. DVDs Season 2 of the television series House of Cards.
