Our mission is to build a community of faith - connecting with God, growing together,
serving the world, all through Jesus Christ.
Church Family…
Let me start off by saying that there is no way a small little blurb in a newsletter can come anywhere
close to expressing our thanks for all that y’all have done for Noland and myself. Words just cannot
do it justice, but we are still going to go ahead and attempt to say “thank you” for everything. Thank
you for all your support and encouragement. Ministry is hard and emotionally exhausting, and we
cherish every kind and loving word you have given us. Thank you for believing in us, even though
we might not have been exactly what you, yourself imagined our position would look like. Thank you
for the hugs and smiles you would give us every Sunday and Wednesday night. Those go a long way.
Thank you for the practical things like wedding gifts, and all of the cards and gifts you gave with the
Love Offering. And lastly, thank you for helping mold us into the men we are today. We can honestly
say that because of this church, we are better pastors, we are better husbands, we will be better fa-
thers, we are better servants, and most significantly, we are better followers of Jesus Christ. Thank
you for helping us become who we are today. There is no chance that we would have the courage and
drive to go and start a church without all of you. Please keep us in your prayers, please stay in touch,
and know that you will never be forgotten.
With Love…
JR and Noland

University Ministry
First off, let me tell you, my church family, how VERY
grateful I am to be serving you in this Interim role as
University minister. FBC Jonesboro is a church that loves
collegians, and I know that we have so much to look forward
to in the coming months as we start a new school year. Leah
and I could not be more honored to serve in this role, and we
are thankful for your continued encouragement and support
of us. Let’s continue to be the church God calls us to be and
serve together in making our University ministry the best it
possibly can be.
Can you believe school starts in less than a month? It’s crazy
to think that we will kick-off the Fall of 2012 so very soon.
So many exciting things are happening in the University
world, and we can’t wait to get everything up and running!
So thankful for the work and diligence to ReMIX that JR
and Noland gave over their time of being here at FBC. We
are extremely sad to see them move on and can’t thank
them both enough for all they’ve done for FBC University
ministry. We love them, and support them as they continue
ministry.
Well, as I mentioned earlier that we have a lot of things
planned for this year…and we can’t do them without your
help! Mark your calendars for these upcoming events:
Aug. 20: First day of classes at ASU
Aug. 22:1st ReMIX gathering/bible study
Aug. 24: International Student Dinner
Aug. 26: 1st College Sunday School
Sept. 8: 1st ASU Tailgate
Sept. 9: ASU Day, Meal and Fellowship
Please be in prayer over these events and if you’d like to
help be a part or would like more information, please feel
free to contact me.
Thank you again for loving college students and making
them a priority of our church. I love you all, and I can’t wait
to serve you!

THANK YOU!
Thank you so much church family for your great response to our request for home- made ice cream last Sunday night! It was all delicious! What a
great evening of worship and fellowship with our brothers
