OREGON E-GOVERNMENT PROGRAM REPORT

EXECUTIVE(SUMMARY(The Oregon E-Government Program continues to improve and expand services. The following are some highlights year-to-date and for the month of August.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS(Oregon.gov Honored as Best of Web Finalist
For the second year in a row, e.Republic’s Center for Digital Government honored Oregon.gov as a finalist for their 2015 Best of the Web in the state portal category.
“These winners are recognized for responsive and mobile-first design, open government, open data, improved transparency and integration with social media,” said Todd Sander, executive director of the Center for Digital Government. “Congratulations to the awardees for their impressive work to make government more accessible and responsive to citizens.”
The updated Oregon.gov featured:
- Improved Mobile design, creating larger easier touch targets for simplified navigation and function
- Improved accessibility leveraging feedback from citizens using assistive devices
- Usability enhancements on search feature - Improved maps feature performance and
accessibility - Social engagement enhancement via
