art of the jazz band summer camps Camp Director: Audrey Morrison
The Art of the Jazz Band offers students the opportunity to improve their ensemble, improvisational and sight-reading skills through work with
professional jazz musicians who are also great educators.
Audrey Morrison leads rehearsals, and members of the MIC jazz faculty offer sectionals, coaching and master classes. Participants will learn to play by ear as
well as read jazz arrangements. Camp culminates with a final day concert.

Sessions are free and open to all instrumentalists and vocalists. Piano and drumset provided.

Drum Styles Master Class Series with Ernie Adams Enjoy 6 master classes exploring 6 drum styles including: Jazz, Latin, Rock, Pop/Hip Hop, Fusion, and Odd Meters.

Jazz Combos • $115 for six weeksImprovise across many jazz styles, learn standards, and perform original compositions.
