1 Editing prior to mixing

Even before you do audio mixing, make sure that all the tracks are edited and it sounds the best. Audio editing before mixing will make your mixing hassle-free and fun

2 Get rid of background noise

If you have a sound proof recording studio then you do not have to worry about this. But, if you don’t, then you are sure to have various noises in whatever you record. Thus, sit back, go through all your tracks and listen carefully if there is any noise in the pauses between the phrases

3 Employ fades efficiently

If you have thought to introduce more instruments to the mix in between a quiet backing track, there are chances that the sudden volume change might not sound good. In such cases, make use of fades to overcome this abnormal change.

4 Cut at Zero Point

Zero point is nothing but the point where the negative and the positive side of the wave meet. By cutting at this point you can avoid all the clicks and pops in your audio

5 Try raising volume of individual Phrases

Some phrases of the track may sound quiet and some may sound louder. In such cases, rather than compressing the track try to raise or lower the individual phrases.
