What is your gender?

We chose to use more femaleswhen partake in the questionnairesas we value their opinion more asour target audience is mainly

females aged from about 16onwards.

We came to that conclusion asthrough research it suggests thatmostly women listen to pop music.

Also, as our artist is female wewould want our audience to beable to identify themselvesthrough her whether that be viapersonality, looks or the topicsrelated through the song.

What is your age?

Based on the results we mainlytook results from those whowere amongst the 16-20 agebracket as they are our target

audience. However, asmentioned we do value thoseabove that age bracket as theyto make up our target audiencehowever, those in the 16-20age bracket are more likely to

go out and buy CDs and watchmusic videos as most televisioncorporations that play musicvideos on a daily basis like: VH1and MTV are based on the dailyviews of teenagers and young

adults.

What genre of music do yourprefer?

Based on our results only asmall percentage on ourparticipants preferred Popmusic which is the genre of ourpromotional song and the genre

that was widely adored wasIndie.

These views may be based onthe current indie trend that hasbeen sweeping the nation. This

is highly influenced by fashionand therefore may have slightlyaided the results.

However, the pop genre wasstill popular but thestereotypical representation

may have caused people tovote for other enres as some

What is the most importantelement of a music video in youropinion?

Based on the results we knowthat our audience believe that

the most important element of amusic video is thecharacters/singers therefore inour production we will make surewe honour this and make thesinger the centre of the attention

in the video. In second place wasthe plot. In our music video wewill make sure to intertwine boththe demand for the singer and aplot that can be easily identified.

Are you familiar with Frenchmusic?

Based on the results the majorityif our participants were notfamiliar with French musichowever some were familiar withit.

To be doing a French song maymean that we will only beappealing to a majority of thosewho are familiar with it.

However, this could be influenced

by the factor that French musicisnt played or featured in chartsor music stores like HMV forexample whereas Americanartists and English artists arewidely heard which is contrastingto other countries as in French

charts American and Englishartists are included.

Are you a fan of French music?

The results show that theparticipants were not fans ofFrench music therefore once

again we are only appealing toa niche market with our chosenlanguage.

However, this could beinfluenced by the factor thatFrench music isnt played or

featured in charts or musicstores like HMV for examplewhereas American artists andEnglish artists are widely heard.

Would you want subtitles included in thevideo?

Our results show that ouraudience would like subtitles tobe added to the music video.However, this is not

conventionally seen in musicvideos and may cause somedisturbance to the actual plotand substance of the musicvideo.

For this result I would go for theone that did not draw thatmuch attention as subtitleswould be too distractingtherefore I personally would notadd them in.

A majority of our participants

are familiar with the artist wehave chosen therefore wewould be appealing to a massmarket as only a smallpercentage were not familiarwith her music.
