Siyabonga completed his B.Com Honours degree in Information Systems at the Western Cape University and further studied Management Advancement Programme (MAP) at Wits.

He later pursued various Microsoft Engineering certificates and in 2005 he became a shareholder of a start-up IT company which operated for two years. Thereafter, he joined T-Systems as an ICT Infrastructure Manager, then progressed to Deloitte, thereafter UNISA, to later join his last corporate employment at Heineken South Africa.

At the same time, he has been active in the buying, renovating, letting and selling of movable and immovable assets all over South Africa. At the beginning of 2017, he founded an IT consulting company, which he ran successfully to date. He has a wealth of experience in Operations, Strategy and Business Management.

After completing his military service as an Infantry School officer, Pieter started out in the teaching profession. However, he continued his studies at the University of Potchefstroom at the Vaal Campus and ventured into the banking industry, where he acquired a wealth of financial skills. Pieter moved up through the ranks in the financial sector and soon became part of the management team of what was then Boland Bank.

When the Bank decided to sell their “Eiendomsdienste en Afslaers” division to Seeff, Pieter opened up Seeff Auctions in the Northern Region. He subsequently grew this newly founded business into a solid, profitable and sustainable auction concern, and into a household name in and around Pretoria.

After almost two decades in the auction industry and with a healthy passion for the business, Pieter decided to make his move – and founded Bidders Choice.

As a veteran auctioneer throughout South Africa and in neighbouring states, Pieter has conducted substantial mining auctions. In his personal capacity he has also presided over huge agricultural and farming-related auctions, including the sale of livestock, several game lodges and farming equipment. Pieter has also conducted many commercial multiple auctions and distinguished himself as an auctioneer of exceptional skill and versatility.Pieter firmly believes that transparency and humility are indispensable traits and that you should always treat buyers and sellers with the same dignity and respect that you expect from others. He believes trust is earned and should never be lost – even under the toughest circumstances.

Over the past two decades the Company’s Co-founder, Pieter Geldenhuys, has gained invaluable experience presiding over some of the largest moveable auctions in the country.

ONLINE AUCTIONS

Live webcasts

• These are traditional sales conducted by an auctioneer that take place at an auction venue.

• The live webcast allows the online bidder to participate in the auction in real time.

• Lots appear on your screen as they are offered in the sale Your bids are instantly relayed to the auctioneer.

Timed auctions • These are online only auctions. Bids are

placed over a defined time period.

• The highest bidder at the end of the bidding period is successful.

We are hosting two types of auctions:

MARIO WILKER is the CEO of Macht Capital. Mario attained a BLC LLB degree at Pretoria University and has, among others, more than 20 years experience practicing as an attorney or advocate during different stages of his career. For the past 15 years Mario has served on the board of directors of several companies, including Macht Capital.

JAMES VAN RENSBURG is the COO of Macht Capital. James attained B.PROC degree at Potchefstroom University and was an insolvency practitioner for more than 36 years. James currently advises clients on mining and insolvency matters.

Macht Capital (Pty) Ltd is a company that specializes in strategic turnaround strategies and raising capital for companies and projects on the local and international financial markets. Our focus is on assessing companies in financial difficulties, market research, finding innovative ways of limiting losses and increasing profits, disposing of unprofitable divisions or assets, raising capital and identifying potential strategic investors, partners or buyers.

We make use of independent expert advisors, including geologists, metallurgists and engineers to evaluate the potential of mining and other projects. Macht also works with selected local and international partners to raise capital through the listing of shares or bonds on accredited stock exchanges or through private placements. Macht does not offer any financial advisory services to its clients, but works with financial service providers registered with the FSC
