Military Personnel with ties to the Auburn (PA) Area This list is a constantly updated record of any and all military personnel whom has ties to the Auburn, Pennsylvania area. The Auburn, Pennsylvania area encompasses approximately a three-mile radius (distance) from the intersection of Market and Third Streets of Auburn, PA. “Ties to the Auburn (PA) area” would include anyone who at one time had permanent residence (one or more years) in this geographical area, or attended one of the schools within that area, or attended one of the churches within that area, or belonged to the Auburn Veterans of Foreign War association, etc. Their military service does not necessarily have to coincide with the same time period in which they had ties to Auburn, PA. This list is to have an all-encompassing listing of anyone who served their country in a military capacity. This would include anyone who served in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, National Guard, Navy or other distinctly military service. The purpose of this list is to have a permanent record of those patriotic individuals who sacrificed a portion of their lives to defending their country. Although military conflict is NOT a prerequisite for being included in this list, active service during a military conflict is given special recognition. These conflicts can include but are not necessarily limited to: French and Indian War: 1754-1763 Revolutionary War: September 1, 1774 – September 3, 1783 War of 1812: June 18, 1812 – March 23, 1815 Mexican American War: April 25, 1846 – February 2, 1848
