KIDS CUPCAKE WARS PARTY

I love hosting cupcake wars parties! They are super fun and 10 -15 year olds seem to be at the peak age for it, although it's really fun for all ages (including adults!). DETAILS: Cost: $425 Minimum age requirement: age 9 # of kids: 8 - 12 Time allotted: 2 hours What to bring: Drinks (if you want something more than water) for each child, candle(s) if you choose to sing, balloons if you wish to attach our light post out front, your camera, and creative spirit! I ask that the host choose the flavor profiles for each of the 4 teams so that I can have the ingredients ready ahead of time. Each team is allowed to add 1 additional ingredient not in the description (that we will have listed on a board), but having the basic flavor profiles narrowed down ahead of time helps with decision making as a team and allows me to know what to prepare ahead. I will provide you with a list of flavor ideas, but feel free to suggest your own or change it up! It is very important for everyone to arrive on time since we will use the full 2 hours of allotted time! The teams can be hand picked by the host or we can draw numbers from a hat at the start of the party. The batter will be made ahead and each team will be given ingredients that go along with their flavor profile to use for their cupcake batter and icing which they can choose to use however they want (we give a list of possible ways and my assistant and I will help with direction, chopping, etc). While the cupcakes bake I'll do some fondant and piping demos so they can use those skills to decorate their cupcakes. They will have access to fondant, food coloring, and my vast assortment of shapes and cutters. At the end, each child will get to taste and judge each of the team’s different cupcakes. They will judge them on 3 categories: taste, appearance, and originality. I will tally up the scores to declare the winners of each category and the overall winner. Each child goes home with a box of the 4 different flavored and decorated cupcakes as their favors. We take care of all of the prep and all of the mess, allowing you to watch all of the fun, so all you have to do is show up!
