Objectives of the Association
To maintain an association of property/casualty
companies and corporate self-insured claims executives
whose companies are domiciled in or having as their
area of responsibility, designated Atlantic coast and
southeastern states.
To maintain a professional forum for the exchange of
information concerning matters of mutual interest.
To promote harmony, cooperation, and cordial business
relations among the members.

To discourage false or fraudulent claims.
To expose dishonest, unscrupulous or unethical

Rocky Stone Travelers Fire, Investigative Services Rocky Stone is a Regional Director with Travelers Investigative Services Fire Unit with over 30 years of experience within field of fire investigations. Rocky began his career as a Fire Investigator with Travelers in 2000 and was promoted into his current role in 2007. Rocky began his career in Fire Investigations in his late teens working part time for his father who owned a private investigation company, Stone Investigation. Rocky has held full time positions as a Police Officer, Fireman and Fire Investigator with the city of Albany Georgia as well as a Criminal Fire Investigator with the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office prior to his employment with Travelers as well. Rocky is a Certified Fire Investigator with the International Association of Fire Investigators & National Association of Fire Investigators as well as a Certified Instructor.
Andrew Stephenson, Principal Franklin & Prokopik
As a senior principal with the law firm of Franklin & Prokopik, Andrew T. Stephenson is a seasoned civil litigator, with a primary focus on defending companies against civil suits involving catastrophic losses. Mr. Stephenson also defends corporations and individuals in civil matters involving commercial transportation, construction, paratransit, intentional torts, premises and products liability. He is currently a member in good standing of the Maryland State Bar Association and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore Law School.
Patrica Lambert Pessin Katz Law PA
Ms. Lambert has over 35 years of experience in handling complex commercial litigation and insurance matters. Ms. Lambert has worked on national class actions, significant litigation and regulatory matters for Fortune 500 companies. She has also assisted small and mid-sized companies and business executives with contract, real estate, liability assessment and commercial disputes that needed to be resolved quickly and efficiently. Ms. Lambert is best known as an attorney who knows the field of insurance. She has represented insurers, policyholders, and insurance producers in disputes both in court and before the Maryland Insurance Administration.
Ms. Lambert is the firm’s Co-Liaison for Harmonie, a national network of high quality law firms that serve the special needs of the risk industry, and was recently appointed to Harmonie’s Board.
Fred Kobb, Managing Partner Wright, Constable & Skeen
Fred has litigated cases on behalf of insurance carriers and self-insured businesses for over 30 years, starting when he represented railroads and trucking companies as an associate attorney at Wright, Constable & Skeen. He has continued to practice in the area of insurance defense litigation throughout his career. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Maryland Defense Counsel. He is also the firm's liaison to The Harmonie Group, which is an invitation-only international network of elite and vetted law firms providing defenses services to corporations, TPAs, insurance companies and captives.
Howard Schulman, Partner Wright, Constable & Skeen Howard focuses on civil law matters in both Maryland and federal trial and appellate courts. He strives to provide premier yet cost-effective litigation services to all clients. Howard has assisted clients in a wide range of areas, including 35 years' experience in insurance defense and coverage matters, as well as defense of disciplinary and licensing proceedings against pharmacists, physicians and other health care professionals, employee fraud, First Amendment and constitutional law, employment law, copyright and trademark litigation, defamation and serious personal injury.
Marie lgnozzi, Associate Wright, Constable & Skeen
Marie concentrates her practice in civil litigation and insurance coverage and defense. As a trial lawyer, Marie litigates cases in Maryland state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. She represents individuals and businesses involved in matters such as automobile and premises liability, breach of contract, fraud, interference with business relations, defamation, and workplace discrimination, as well as property disputes involving restrictive covenants, trespass and destruction of property. Marie is a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Maryland Defense Counsel.
Matthew English, AIC Gen Re Matthew is a Property Claim Executive in Gen Re’s home office in Stamford, Connecticut. He began his career at Gen Re in June 2015. Prior to joining Gen Re, Matthew handled all manner of First Party Property claims with Industrial Risk Insurers / Swiss Re, Travelers and The Hartford. Matthew graduated from Western New England College with a BA in Political Science and has also earned the Associate In Claims, Commercial Property the AICPCU.
Jeffrey Weisel, Vice President Gen Re
Jeff handles casualty claims for the Gen Re Claims department in Stamford, CT. Prior to joining Gen Re in 2012, Jeff served as claims manager for an insurance carrier overseeing a Professional Liability book of business. In addition to Professional Liability claims, Jeff has experience handling: Cyber, EPLI, D&O, Workers’ Compensation, Medical Malpractice and General Liability. Jeff has also litigated matters for several insurance defense firms. Jeff has a BS in Political Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his JD from Hofstra University School of Law.
Chris Tidball, Vice President EXL Chris Tidball is the Vice President of Claims Transformation Strategy at EXL, a global consulting and analytics company specializing in property and casualty process improvement. His insurance tenure spanned 25 years, from field adjuster to claims executive with leading insurers AIG and Progressive Insurance. Chris is the author of multiple books, both fiction and non-fiction, including Re-Adjusted: Taking Your Claims Organization from Ordinary to Extraordinary! He is a graduate of Arizona State University, a Senior Claims Law Associate and Six Sigma Black Belt. He can be reached at [email protected].
Kari Williamson, BS, RN, LNCC, CCM Over 20 years ago, Kari started MKC Medical Management. Fast forward to now and the business has grown to needing 11 associated nurses. Kari has 25 years of various nursing experience in the insurance – legal sectors. The majority of clinical experiences includes a level one-trauma center. In addition, she works closely with the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC), having served as an education contributor. Currently, she is writing the chapter on Defense Legal Nurse Consulting for the Association’s Legal Nurse Consulting Principles and Practices, 4th Edition, the authoritative reference for the industry.
Clint Cox Cox PLIC Clint Cox is an aggressive litigator and trial attorney. Clint’s practice focuses on risk mitigation, creating leverage to protect client interests and advising on matters for risk avoidance, as well as late-stage litigation resolution and/or trial involvement. Clint’s areas of practice are vast, in that he is regularly asked to get involved in various areas of law, primarily due to his desire to consistently and effectively resolve disputes or obtain favorable outcomes.”
Adam E. Parsons, Esq., CPCU Adam is the Director of Technical Operations at Pennsylvania National Mutual Casualty Insurance Company in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and has presented extensively on insurance and legal matters in a variety of forums. Prior to his current role, Adam served as corporate claims counsel at Penn National where he managed the company’s coverage, ECO and EPLI policy exposures. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and The University of Michigan School of Law, he has been honored as the Pennsylvania Defense Institute’s Insurance Claims Executive of the Year and holds numerous insurance designations including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
Storm Wilkins, Esq. CPCU Risk Insurance & Healthcare Management
With over two decades of experience as a property casualty insurance lawyer, Storm Wilkins shares her wealth of knowledge with carriers and students. Professor Wilkins has considerable expertise in insurance coverage analysis. Moreover, she is a former trial attorney having successfully tried hundreds of cases before judges, juries and arbitration panels. Storm is also an accomplished educator. She joined the Fox School of Business at Temple University as a full-time faculty member in the fall of 2013. In 2010-2011, she was an Adjunct Professor at the Drexel University Law School in Philadelphia. Prior to teaching, she held various roles with property casualty carriers including ACE American Insurance Company (now Chubb) and State Farm. As an Assistant General Counsel for the AAA Mid-Atlantic Insurance Group, she was responsible for providing legal advice to all of the carrier’s business units. Storm has significant experience in the areas of insurance policy coverage analysis, litigation management, insurance regulation, and complex claims handling. Professor Wilkins earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Prior to attending Penn Law, she received her undergraduate degree cum laude from the American University in Washington, D.C. She continued her professional education by obtaining her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. She is certified by the Society of Insurance Trainers and Educators as an Insurance Training Professional (ITP).
