Atlanta Dance Central is pleased to present its tenth annual recital - Be Empowered: CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVEN-TURE.

As the season progresses, additional recital information or updates will be posted on the ADC website, atlantadancecen-tral.com, and in our monthly newsletters. You will also have access to recital schedules and documents via our TEAM App! Our goal is to make the recital an organized, exciting experience for everyone involved. It’s a team effort; stu-

dents, their parents, the teachers, and the director are key players in the show’s success.

You should expect:

• Rehearsals at ADC studio prior to the Recital

• Tech and dress rehearsals on stage the week of recital

• Kinder Recital is approximately 1 hour length and includes both Kinder and Physio Jazz students

• Youth Recital includes both Basics and Youth classes and is approximately 1.5 hours in length

Recital Benefits and Expectations

Costume and Appearance InformationOur high quality costumes include all accessories, but not tights, shoes, or undergarments.

Alterations - ADC offers alteration services. Strap adjustments are $2.50/strap. Please see staff for other alteration prices.

Distribution - Costumes will be distributed during Costume Week, March 25th - 30th. As costumes take several months to arrive, students who joined Recital later in the season may not have a costume to try on during Costume Week. The costume will arrive in time for Recital.

Care - Place your student’s name inside their costume and all accessories in permanent pen. Do not wash costumes in your washing machine; dry clean them only (after the Recital).

Tights - Students are required to have tights for Recital free from holes, stains, and runs. A pair of tights is included with your paid Recital fee. You may purchase additional tights in the ADC boutique.

Shoes - Students should wear dance shoes for Recital that are listed in ADC’s dress code policy.

Makeup - All female students are required to wear makeup for the Recital: red lipstick, blush, eyeshad-ow, and mascara. Note: no nail polish on fingers or toes. For boys, only blush is necessary.

Hair - uniform hairstyles are required. Your teacher will discuss your dancer’s hairstyle during the Re-cital Packet meeting. Dancers with short hair must pull their hair away from their face. All dancers are required to have buns for ballet. Dancers with short hair will need to purchase hairpieces to complete their bun. See Ms. Mary Ann for more details.

Recital PoliciesVideo and Photography - Parents or guardians may video or photograph their children at the tech and dress rehearsal only. No video or photography will be allowed at the Recital.

Backstage - No family members or guests are allowed backstage. Please greet peformers in the lobby after the show.

Recital Ticket Policies - Tickets go on sale April 8th and cost $10 + processing fees. Tickets will be sold online only, and can be purchased at ADC’s website. All studio accounts must be paid in full be-fore a family member may purchase tickets.

Two tickets are included in the paid Recital Fee, which be distributed with costumes during costume week. After 3/31, tickets go on sale to the general public.

Seating Policies - Attendees with their tickets in hand will be seated first. Attendees who have forgot-ten or misplaced their tickets will be seated after ticketed individuals have been seated. If a show is “sold out,” we will create a waitlist at the front desk or box office. Fifteen minutes prior to the show, we will call the names on the wait list if seats are available. ADC cannot guarantee your seat at Recital without a ticket in hand. Additionally, all children under 3 are free and must sit in a lap. Each member of the family must have a seat. No children (over 3) will be allowed to sit on a parent’s lap.

Priority Seating Service - Attendees wanting to skip the line can purchase a Priority Seating Service Pass for $25. Turn the pass in at Recital and enter the theater 15 minutes before the doors open to the public (doors open to public 30 minutes prior to performance). You can reserve up to 4 seats per pass and does not include the cost of the tickets. Pass is valid for 1 performance. Only 25 passes per perfor-mance available.

Class Group Photos will be taken during their tech time on stage at Blessed Trinity Theater, immediately fol-lowing the run of their dance. Students should arrive to their tech time in full costume, correct tights and shoes, and performance makeup and hair.
