ATHENS WINTER SCHOOL IN NEPHROLOGY 27-29/2/2020 | 1
Dear colleagues,
It is a great pleasure and honor to welcome you in Athens be-
tween 27th and 29th of February 2020 in the joined meeting
organized by the Immunonephrology Working Group (IWG) of
ERA EDTA and Mayo Clinic (Rochester USA) in collaboration
with Hellenic Society of Nephrology. This meeting represents
a Winter School in Nephrology similar to the successful meet-
ing organized last year in Prague with the collaboration of
Professor Fernando Fervenza from Mayo Clinic and the
Board of IWG. According to the experience from last year, the
topics of presentation are selected by the speakers and are
not exclusively related to glomerular diseases. However,
glomerular diseases still represent the main topic of this Win-
ter School in Nephrology. New knowledge in pathogenesis
and new trends in the treatment of glomerular and other kid-
ney diseases including renal transplantation will be discussed
by distinct speakers with great experience in each topic.
We are anticipating you with great impatience and pleasure
for the Winter School of Nephrology 2020 in Athens, one of
the most attractive destinations in Europe.
Dimitrios S. Goumenos
Professor of Internal Medicine-Nephrology
Head of the School of Medicine of University of Patras
