GED® CLASSES
Evaluations are required for entrance into ESOL,Pre-GED® and GED® classes. Call 757-923-5254to schedule an appointment for one of the listeddates. Placement evaluations are FREE and startpromptly at 5:00p.m. All prospective students mustbe at least 18 years old and have ID for admittanceinto the session.
Register online at GED.com for the Official GED® test dates listed below. Candidateswill need to schedule a minimum of two dates to complete the required battery oftests. The testing center opens at 4:00p.m. on Friday and 8:30a.m. on Saturday. Thecost for candidates taking the complete battery of tests (4 modules) is $120, and thecost for candidates taking single modules is $30.

Students who aspire to become welders will findemployment opportunities everywhere — automotiveindustries, shipyards, shops and skyscrapers. Wherever metalneeds adhering, a welder is needed. By being trained asa skilled welder, you’ll have career opportunities. Almostanywhere you want to go, welding can take you there.
This program allows students to explore exciting trainingand career opportunities in the welding industry. Studentslearn to read blueprints, set up equipment and weld usingvarious techniques, including flat, vertical, horizontal, andoverhead. If you enjoy working independently and areattentive to detail, this course is for you.
WELDINGStart a path to learn a new job skill or improve your presentwelding skills. With individual instruction, learn the basics ofwelding machines, safety set-up and operational techniques.Topics include SMAW, GMAW, GTAW-FCAW, Oxy-fuelcutting, welding and Plasma cutting. Class is 90% hands-on welding and is limited to 12 people. A $25.00 fee formaterials and supplies is required at the time of registration.
