EVENING PROGRAM

Welcome to the “Roaring ‘20s”. Get your flapper on and let’s bootleg a good time! Tonight we come together as a community to support our Guadalupe students. Your investment tonight enables our teachers to access resources that enhance creative lessons and develop the leadership of our children. As a core fundraiser for the school, our auction enables the fabulous service opportunities and faith development that our community is known for. Bid high and bid often, and let’s have a great time!

Tonight we are back on our own campus, with the help of so many good people. It really takes a village to make things happen, and our gang is full of remarkable talent. Special thanks to Alder Kuhn and the amazing team for organizing this fabulous night! Special thanks as well to Kat Cirar from The Extra Ingredient for coordinating all the many parts of this night! All the hard work of these individuals (and their families) makes this night possible. And of course, all school parents help in so many ways: from chaperoning field trips and class projects, to cleaning, coaching, and serving on commissions and committees. You make OLG the special place that it is, and we are ever so grateful!

Thank you for your investment this evening. Your generosity makes OLG all the better!

With Gratitude,

Fr. Jack Walmesley, Pastor Anton Kramer, Principal

Thank you to our generous donors!

I love my OLG family and am delighted to support our school through the auction program. I found a church "home" when I joined the parish and am most grateful to be part of such a welcoming, loving, gener-ous community. It is an added blessing to serve the community by sharing my passion and expertise in the real estate world. Whether you are buying or selling a home, I would be honored to help you.

AUCTIONEER DAVE RYCKMANWe are pleased to have Professional Licensed Auctioneer Dave Ryck-man with us for his second OLG Auction and Gala. Dave has partnered with Stokes Auction Group, Inc. since 1993. Upon graduation from the Western College of Auctioneering, Dave was awarded the “ABC Award” by his classmates for his “attitude, bid calling, and conduct.” Dave enjoys spending time with his wife Chrissy and their two daughters. He is actively involved in the PTA, including organizing the school’s annual fundraising auction. We are honored to have him serve as our auctioneer for the 2018 OLG Roaring ‘20s Auction and Gala.

EMCEE TOM HUTYLER Tom Hutyler is back with us once again! Best known to some as an alumni family of OLG School, to others as an amazing coach and CYO supporter, while to others, Tom will always be best known a KOMO Sports and News Anchor, Public Address Announcer, and the “Voice of Safeco Field.”

KOMO Sports Anchor Tom Hutyler has been in the radio industry for over 30 years, having begun while still in high school in his native Spokane at KJRB. He came to Seattle’s KJR in late 1979 and had subsequent stints at KUBE, helping to launch that station as its first Music Director in 1981. He also worked at KVI, doing colorful commentary for Cougar football in 1984, then at KLSY, KUBE again, and Star 101.5 from 1991 until 2003. In 2003, Tom joined the first staff of KOMO 1000 News, anchoring sports in the afternoon. He switched to his current spot as the morning sports and news anchor, and has been the Public Address Announcer for Mariner baseball since 1987.

Tom and his wife Terri have three children who graduated from Our Lady of Guadalupe School, and then Seattle Prep. We continue to thank Tom and appreciate him for his talent as an emcee, as well as his support and com-mitment to our school.

STOKES AUCTION GROUP Stokes Auction Group is back once again, helping us coordinate our fabu-lous evening. The success of our event is due to their attention to detail and commitment to our school. A heartfelt thank you to Cynthia McDonnell and the wonderful people at Stokes Auction Group for going above and beyond for Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to give bidders an opportunity to view all items prior to bidding.

Upon entry, each guest is given a bid card at registration. (Couples will each receive a card, but will have the same bid number.) A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item. In the Silent Auction, designation of the bid you have written by the silent auc-tion official as the top bid is a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item.

Auction items will be awarded to one purchaser only. Though you may be “sharing” or “going-in” on an item, the top bid amount of an auction item cannot be split among bidders who may have agreed to pay a portion of the top bid amount.

All sales are final, and there will be no exchanges or refunds on items unless otherwise noted.

The purchaser assumes the responsibility to locate and remove purchases from the auction site. All items must be removed from the auction site the night of the auction unless other arrangements have been made.

Reservations for trips and vacation accommodations must be mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise noted. Please check all certificates for expiration dates or restrictions.

SILENT AUCTIONAll silent auction items have a bid sheet placed near the item. To bid on an item, write your bid number legibly in the column. Illegible bid numbers will be rejected. The opening bid and subsequent minimum bid raises are pre-

determined. Other than “Purchase Guaranteed” items, all other items may be bid on until tables are officially closed.

LIVE AUCTIONLive items are available to view prior to the start of the live auction. Please note restrictions and/or limitations. To bid in the Live Auction, hold your bid card up high with the number towards the auctioneer.

PAYMENT“q-Check” - Simply present your credit card when you arrive and register. You will sign the form, be given a bid number, and this is all you need for the evening! The number can be used for purchasing drinks at the bar, chances in the Enter-to-Win and all of our auction items. If you make no purchases, your original credit card form will be shredded. Payments for items may also be made in cash or by check and can be made at the cashier anytime during the evening. A “paid” receipt must be presented to remove all items.

Your payments that exceed the value of the item are tax deductible as a charitable contribution only to the extent allowable by law. OLG is a 501-C Organization.

LIABILITY STATEMENTThe OLG Auction Committee has attempted to correctly describe and catalog all items, but all items are offered, “as is.” The auction committee and OLG neither warrant nor represent the correctness of the description, genuine-ness, authorship, or condition of the property. No statement contained within this catalog or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty or assumption of liability. The donor represents estimated values.

Get Outdoors!Over the past few years we’ve focused on windows, technology, and

remodels. Our WIFI is so much stronger because of your gifts last year. Our Early Learning Center remodel and expansion to full-day is

moving along because of your seed money.

Tonight, let’s focus on the great outdoors! We have wonderful outside play and learning spaces, and we want to continue our commit-

ment to nurturing all aspects of student life with tonight’s “Raise the Paddle” for the outdoors. With your support we can…

Update Playground and PE Equipment for all, including expanded playground options for Early Learning Center program (3 and 4 yr-old) to meet state licensing standards and ensure our youngest students

begin their OLG experience with safe outdoor play.

Additional Garden Learning Resources: We have two beautiful spaces on our campus. We want to expand their use through

enhanced lessons with curriculum and resources to bring math, sciences, and more into our call to Care for Creation.

Our world is inundated with technology. Now more than ever, we must teach in each space we have. Through community, through

playing and learning together, through our beautiful outdoor spaces. Raise your paddle and support our outdoor learning spaces!

Thank you!
