2018 sees a new generation of electric bus for the Middle East. This unique collaboration between Haifalat, Siemens and Masdar, under the supervision of Department of Transport Abu Dhabi, has driven a sustainable design and build specifically for environments of extreme heat and humidity, perfectly suited to the UAE and wider Middle East.

The EcoBus employs several ‘firsts’ in its development including the latest Siemens built motor technology, allowing

for a lighter construction and lower energy usage alongside purpose designed water cooled batteries to overcome

extreme temperatures. Air conditioning systems have been redesigned to allow for optimised battery usage, which in

turn are integrated in to an extra-light aluminium body.

ABOUT HAFILATEstablished in 2006 in Abu Dhabi, Hafilat specialises in European-quality, bus manufacturing to the UAE and Arab Gulf region. We deliver high performance passenger buses, with an expertise to deliver everything from standard low-floor, articulated urban buses through to buses that run on compressed gas and electric power.

We pride ourselves on meticulous attention to detail within the design and manufacturing stages, which translate into Hafilat built bodies that offer greater reliability and less vehicle downtime. Quality and versatility are important staples in our work and production ethos. We also understand that each client has a unique set of requirements governing their operating locations allowing us to deliver bespoke solutions, including electric powered vehicles.
