Culminating Task Task: Students independently research a natural feature/environment from any country and
create a travel brochure to be included in a travel agency. You need to complete this task
WITHOUT anyone's help. Use your skills and knowledge about creating brochures from the
previous week. A RUBRIC is included to help to complete your culminating task.
Some examples of natural features/environments:
Blue Mountains (Australia), Ban Gioc Waterfall (Vietnam), Banaue Rice Terraces (Philippines),
Grand Canyon National Park (USA), Zhangjiajie's floating peaks (China), Milford Sound (New
Zealand), Lake Baikal (Russia),Hula Valley (Israel)

DAY INSTRUCTION CHECKLIST
Day 1: Research/Planning
- Research your chosen natural feature/environment. - Choose your own headings that you would like to include in your brochure. Eg History, Map, Interesting Facts etc - Take notes - Plan the layout of your brochure
Day 2: Revise/Edit - Organise your information under the appropriate subtitles - Revise your work to improve writing.
Day 3: Brochure - Create your own draft brochure with the information gathered on your chosen natural feature/environment.
Day 4: Brochure -Edit and revise by adding other features eg. pictures, subheadings etc. (Refer to the Travel Brochure features below).
Day 5: Publish -Publish your brochure by using either computer programs such as Publisher, Word Document and Apps or paper.
