PROJECT BACKGROUND
Surakarta City is planning to treat its solid waste using modern technology, such as environmental friendly waste to energy system which also produces electricity power.
PROJECT BACKGROUND Among all waste to energy technology alternatives, The Surakarta City Government considers waste to energy incineration as suitable because there is no landfill inside the city boundary and there is no location sufficiently far from residences for processes creating odors.
1545 cows stay in the Final Disposal active zone (15 ha) together with more than 100 scavangers

Treating 200 tons of up coming solid waste and 265 tons of the existing solid waste per day.
The complete power plant with its supporting facility needed, including medium-voltage transmition system (<20kV) and low-voltage (<1000 V) from the Project location to the nearest PT PLN’s electricity substation.
Ancillary facilities to support the operation of the solid waste treatment facility, including leachate treatment system, pollution control system, storage facilities, maintenance depot.
THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS COLLECTIVELY CONSTITUTE THE PROJECT
Estimated project cost is IDR 417.000.000.000 (US $ 34.750.000)
The Surakarta City Government will be responsible for land acquisition and facilitate the project company with PT PLN.
THE ILLUSTRATION OF WASTE SOLID MANAGEMENT WITH INCINERATOR TECHNOLOGY
SCOPE OF WORK
• The Project Company will be responsible for the design, selection and procurement of necessary equipment and materials, construction, commissioning, testing, operation, maintenance of the Project at its own risk.
• The Project Company will be responsible for arranging the necessary permits and licenses for importing materials and equipment and spare part, construction of the Project and its operations in accordance with Applicable Law.
