Who are we? Fairtrade International is a non-profit organization with partners and supporters all over the globe. We develop the Fairtrade Standards, support producers, and co-ordinate the international Fairtrade system. And we own the FAIRTRADE Certification Mark, a registered trademark that appears on more than 27,000 products in 120 countries. Over 1.2 million small farmers and workers in 66 countries benefit from Fairtrade. Our governance includes strong representation from three producer networks, representing small farmers and workers in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and national Fairtrade organizations that promote Fairtrade in their countries. Fairtrade means fair conditions and better prices for the people who grow our products: Whether it’s the coffee we drink, the cocoa in our chocolate, or the cotton in our t-shirts. But Fairtrade is about more than just prices. By getting Fairtrade certified, farmers and workers build connections with traders and consumers, invest in their communities and businesses, and take an active role in determining what the international Fairtrade system is now and will be in the future. “Fairtrade is a change agent.
