Lorna Hardiman DMU

Lorna is a general sonographer with over 17 years’ experience in paediatric ultrasound. For many years she worked at Sydney Paediatric Radiology where she was taught ultrasound by Prof Albert Lam and other paediatric radiologists. Whilst there Lorna helped streamline the hip ultrasound screening program for infants at risk of developmental dysplasia of the hips (DDH) at Westmead Hospital, Sydney.

Lorna has given paediatric ultrasound presentations at international, national and local levels together with workshops especially in hip ultrasound. Lorna enjoys teaching and is always learning new techniques to advance the field of paediatric sonography. She currently works at The Children’s Hospital, Westmead and the Sydney Adventist Hospital at Wahroonga.

Dr Denise Warner MB BS (Syd) FRANZCR

Dr Denise Warner studied medicine at Sydney University and trained in Radiology at Concord Hospital and The Children’s Hospital at Camperdown completing a Fellowship in Paediatric Radiology at The Children’s Hospital, Camperdown. She practiced radiology at Concord and Wollongong Hospitals before working in England for nearly 7 years as a General Radiologist with an interest in Paediatric Radiology. Denise returned to Australia to work at The Children’s Hospital, Westmead in 2010. Paediatric Radiology is her primary interest although she had recently commenced a small amount of work as a General Radiologist with Everlight Radiology in Sydney. As a Paediatric Radiologist, ultrasound is pivotal in her work. In particular, she values the way ultrasound can be used to problem solve

Amanda Crow DMU

Amanda Crow has been a Senior Sonographer at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia, for 20 years. She has a Bachelor degree in Applied Science, a Masters degree in Health Sciences (Medical Sonography) from the University of Sydney. Amanda was a guest lecturer in the graduate diploma course in medical sonography at Sydney University for 10 years and has been the ultrasound clinical advisor on the School of Medical Radiation Sciences External Advisory Committee at Sydney University. She has presented lectures and posters at local, national and international meetings, and has been involved in many paediatric workshops.
