The biggest value of my membership and participation in Occupational Therapy Australia is the opportunity to build relationships with my colleagues in the profession. My experiences as a member with Occupational Therapy Australia have been very positive and will help me as I transition from a graduate student to a working professional. I strongly recommend that other students get involved. My main reason for joining Occupational Therapy Australia is to show a dedication to my profession. Association membership is offered for occupational therapists in categories that match working circumstances: FULL There are two Full membership options available depending on your working circumstances: Full Time membership for qualified occupational therapists working (in any capacity) for 20 or more hours per week; and Part Time membership for qualified occupational therapists working (in any capacity) for less than 20 hours per week. ..... NEW GRADUATE New Graduate membership provides all the benefits of Full Association membership, but at a reduced subscription rate (approximately 75% of the Full rate). It is available within 12 months of the date of course completion, and may be renewed for the membership period following that in which it is first taken. ..... AFFILIATE Affiliate membership is available to qualified occupational therapists who are retired, on family leave, or not working (in any capacity), and who wish to maintain Association involvement and interest, but with reduced member privileges. ..... STUDENT Student membership is available to tertiary students who have not yet completed their entry-level occupational therapy studies.
