2. Lesson plan
Instructor: Fabiola Pérez Palma. Listening Activities
Objective: To listen to different opinions about music.
Initial Activities: 1. Brain storm techniques to encourage speaking among students. 2. Listen to different kind of music and match the excerpts of music with the countries.
Developmental activities: 3. Students share their opinion with the class. 4. Pair discussion: Which of the music excerpt did you like best? Which did you like least? 5. Listen to three short conversations about the music the people like.
Final Activities: 6. Work in group. Discuss some questions and take notes. Questions:
a. How many people in your group like each of the three types of music (hip hop, pop, rock).
b. Which bands, singers, and albums do you recommend for each type of music?
Assignment or Autonomous Practice:
1. Students search on internet about one type of music s/he doesn’t know about it or s/he really loves.
2. Do some exercises online:www.englishexercises.org (Vocabulary and Listening section: Music)

Objective: To teach grammar in an appealing way.
Initial Activities: 1. Brain Gym activities 2. Paste some grammar structures or key words on the wall. Use of colourful paper. 3. Use music to introduce some grammar points 4. Use videos to teach grammar points
Developmental activities: 1. Students listen to the music related to the use of certain tenses. 2. Teacher introduces the topic through the use of a video. 3. Students identify the grammar structure.
