( Lewis, Goodman, Fandt, Management Challenges for tomorrows leaders ) 3.1. GOAL SETTING THEORY Our company use SMART goal setting theory for motivation. This theory is based on the concept that people work harder when they have specific, measurable goals to work toward. Goals provide a clear, engaging sense of direction and specify what is to be accomplished. S - SPECIFIC This is refer to our target sale per target month. Our company put a specific target to each employee in order to ensure that our company will have good sale report. M - MEASURABLE When we put on a target, We ensure that the target is measurable. For example. For the month of February, Our company target is to sold 30 car including 10 model from Honda, 5 model from Toyota, another 5 model from Nissan and another 10 model for Proton car. A - ACHIEVEABLE We also ensure that our target can be achievable so that our employee will not burden by stress in order to achieve the company target. R - REALISTIC Our company target was not too high because it our company target is too high, employees will seem no point in trying. T - TIME BOUND Our goals have its starting points, ending points and fixed durations. We also always tell our employees to give full commitment to achieve our target so that they will focus their efforts on completion of the goal on or before due date. MGT 162 AM110 1A Madam. LEADING4.1. PATH-GOAL THEORY Our company use path-goal theory for our leadership concept. According to this theory, it is leader jobs to help the followers in achieving our goals and provide the necessary direction and support. So, our president himself also has to assist our employees and make sure that they enjoy working at our company. This will make our goals more easy to be achieve because our employees is enjoy their working. 4.2 LEADERSHIP STYLES DIRECTIVE LEADER According to this theory, the employees are need to know what the leader want from them, schedules work to be done, and give specific guidance to accomplish task. Our company are avoiding this type of leader styles to ensure that our employees are not feel pressure and stress.

SUPPORTIVE LEADER Leader must be friendly and shows concern for the needs of employees. In order to make that happen, every month we will give a reward to the best leader that most friendly and most concern to our employees.

PARTICIPATIVE LEADER We always having a group-decision making with our manager and employees in order to listen to their suggestion before making a decision. The ideas from employees sometimes very useful to our company.

ACHIEVEMENT-ORIENTED LEADER We also sets challenging goals and expects employees to perform at their highest levels. It makes employees work harder in order to achieve our company goals.

CONTROL

5.1. PRE-ACTION

We use pre-action control to make sure our car has quality and always sold well. We always survey the type and model in high ranked and buyers like it. We also prevent any problem at the car from bad thing from the first stage before the car is bring to our showroom. For example, if the car engine have a bit fault in wire ring and make the car broken, we would not accept the car to be in our showroom because for us quality is important. It is because to make sure our customer satisfied with our car.

5.2. POST ACTION CONTROL

We use the post action control to focus on the outputs of our company after the transformation process is complete. It is known as corrective control. It attempts to measure the result of certain action. If there are problem corrective action is under taken and applied to future activities. For example, we always survey our buyer if they satisfied with the car or not.
