As a group we decided to present the most important component for this course which is our common desire to be Creative. In order to showcase this, we would like to share to everyone (if you are interested to read the details) our individual experiences on how a burst of creativity change our lives using the very model that was presented to us by our professor, Tina Seelig. In doing so, we shared to you a part of our experience, it is for you to find out what our commonalities are based on those experiences and we as a group can also validate whether we understood the first important lecture of this subject. Happy reading and welcome to our group!

We have decided to look at the key commonality that we share among us; who are separated by oceans, continents, countries and time zones. As a group we decided to present the most important component for this course which is our common desire to be Creative. In order to showcase this, we would like to share to everyone (if you are interested to read the details) our individual experiences on how a burst of creativity change our lives using the very model that was presented to us by our professor, Tina

Seelig. In doing so, we shared to you a part of our experience, it is for you to find out what our commonalities are based on those experiences and we as a group can also validate whether we

understood the first important lecture of this subject.

Happy reading and

welcome to our group!

ResourcesA friend is working for a company who does the

services but does not have the technical capability to do product development; we used him to specify

product technical specifications.

Another former colleague is in the design work; we

used his services to do the initial simulations to

specify tolerance limits.

And the list of resources that we tapped is too long

to mention in this list.

ImaginationA friend is working for a company who does the services but does not have the technical capability to do product development; we used him to specify product

technical specifications.

Another former colleague is in the design work; we used his services to do the

initial simulations to specify tolerance limits.

And the list of resources that we tapped is too long to mention in this list.

AttitudeWe decided to study our approach to the problem, identified a specific project

which is very problematic on this product using our internal sources in the industry we isolated one company who would be receptive to our offer. After several visits,

we got the project. We made sure that that company would not encounter any problem from our installation crew. We made sure that all they have to do is inspect and approve our work with the agreement of their project managers.

HabitatThe construction industry in my country is controlled

by the designers, the professional project managers and the major contracting companies. The project

proponents would normally listen to these groups for specifications and choice of suppliers and. This is a

major obstacle to our success as a future product supplier and subcontractor.

CultureOver the years we gradually changed the attitude of contractors in my country. We

are now invited in the biddings of major construction projects. We have even landed on internationally funded projects who normally would not accept locally fabricated products in our category. We are now in the next stage of introducing technology products that would help us further in the improvement of our design parameters to be able to survive the next challenge of global warming and climate

change. I have authored a book on entrepreneurship to document all these experiences together with the inputs from Stanford Technology Ventures.

Creativity ExperienceI have played guitar my entire life. I have reached a point where learning songs that are popular bore me so mostly whenever I play I just

create original pieces. I try to give songs emotions and moods. Personal experiences have driven to write songs in the past.

On June 2012 I was part of a team (called Mobilitti) that won an idea competition put forward by the government. We were awarded a grant to

develop our idea of a traffic solution. This came from the horrible traffic problem in our country. Hopefully it will be a profitable company one

day.

Knowledge

I learnt to play guitar on my own. Grew up on 80's music and

incorporated that style into my playing.

I have taken my degree in physics and electronics and I am now

using that knowledge to implement a solar system being put up by

the company I work for.

I am using this as well in learning to build an electronic in- vehicle

device to support my team's traffic solution.

Resources

I use what I can where I can. My country is not the best place to start up a company and

receive funding but it is a great place to start an idea to solve traffic as no one as attempted

such a solution before.

As a kid growing up I was exposed to a guitar from a very early age so that's what I learnt.

Attitude

In my country people tend to settle for mediocrity. I

believe that we all are average but what makes us

different is our will to try.

I have taken this idea and put it into aspects of my

life. I ask 'why not' instead of 'why' when I am

approached with a task.

Imagination

In playing guitar inspiration comes from trying to create different moods. In

the past I have tried to imagine feelings and portray them through the

music, whether melancholy or not.

In terms of my traffic solution we decided we would give people a solution

by treating traffic like a fluid that we can control. That way we can tell the

cars where to go and when. In a sense we are trying to orchestrate traffic.

Culture

This country I live in promotes tourism and carnival quite soundly and I

think the culture of our people is built around that.

The environment is slowly changing as the government is pushing research.

To make a difference we have to try to influence an attitude of change on

others. Our traffic solution strives to do just that.

Habitat

I have always been in the University environment where brilliant

lecturers and smart students are there to help you with problems.

The classroom environment is not the best place for ideas but the

company I work with pushes their employees to innovation and

creativity. Fortunately I have been able to take this up in designing a

solar system.

I try to use what I have learnt to better my environment. Solar energy

would help sustainable development in my country.

A traffic solution would increase the efficiency of the economy.
