Election commission of India has started SVEEP (Systematic Voter Education &Electoral Participation) initials Voters involved in electoral process
Every vote count is desirable that “No voter should be left behind”.
Registration of New voters.
Making voters registration and modification responsiveness and convenient for everyvoters
To ensure informed and inducement free voting.
Overall increase in turnout by at least 10-20% over the last Vidhan sabha election.
Maximizing voter turnout with zero gender gap, 100% special category voters casting
their vote and no poll boycotts
Awareness of EVM/VVPAT among all voters.
Awareness in remote, slums and target areas.

Voter participation of women is hampered by social issues like
hindrances to women empowerment, pregnancy, lactating mother's
issue etc.
There is gap in registration of minority voters due to development and
social issues like purdah pratha, literacy issue etc.
There is gap in registration of process with disabilities due to
accessibility issues like administrative apathy, family apathy and lack of
awareness.
There is a gap in registration of tribal voter due to issues like migration
to nearby cities for employment, scattered population and lack of
awareness.
Voter Participation of person with disabilities is seriously hampered by
accessibility issues like lack of proper facilities like wheel chair, brail
ballot paper, transportation challenge, lack of support staff etc.8
SVEEP strategy is being implemented at the state, DistrictAssembly Constituency and Polling Station level. Targetedfocus are like Youth, Women, Urban voters, excluded groupare also being included for new strategy implementationunder the SVEEP program.

ICDS Network:‐ Anganwadi Workers - To help spread awareness among women and ensure registration of missing female voters and participation on poll day especially in rural areas. They have also helped in getting photos of female in non‐photo entries.
Health Department: AASHA workers - to help in IEC campaign and enhancing female registration and participation on poll day. Identifying Pregnant & Lactating women to provide facilities on poll days. We intend to utilize the forum of weekly Mamta Diwas & Poshan Diwas to reach out to females of the villages for SVEEP.
Civil Service Organizations CSO - The district has some good NGOs like Lion’s Club, Reliance foundation etc., which shall primarily be used for enrolling urban women and youth. There are many NGOs working for dissemination of voter's rights and spreading awareness on various aspects of election process focusing & helping PWDs mainly on the rural and tribal areas across the District.
Media – The print and electronic media is engaged at District level as a partner for extensive voter education campaigns for enrollment, voter participation on poll day and ethical voting.

First time VVPAT (voter verifiable paper audit trail ) are to be used in general
election at such a large scale
Majority of the voters are not aware about the functioning of VVPAT
To uphold and maintain the trust of public in the institution of ECI, it is
necessary that temper proof nature of EVM/VVPAT functioning is beyond
doubt into the mind of the voters
It is decided that EVM/VVPAT functioning training will be given to voters at
every polling booth
An EVM/VVPAT training calendar has been design for this purpose
EVM/VVPAT training has been imparted through matdata jagrukta vehicle
for a period of one month
An EVM/VVPAT training at every Primary Health center, Anganwadi
Kendra, Higher Secondary School, Tribal Hostel etc.22

Wall Writing- Voter awareness & information about election will be wallpainted along with this polling station of the near around areas will also bepainted on the walls.
Pictorial Walls- It’s easier to understand though pictorial forms & cartoon forall sections of the society be it literate or illiterate and that’s why pictorialpresentations will be painted on the walls of all prime locations.
Rallies – Motor cycles, hand lanterns and bicycle rallies of all sections of thesociety be it male, female, LGBT students youths will be organized throughoutwith the theme of voter awareness via placards, banners and through slogans.
Flex hoarding and banners- Hoarding will be placed at tourist places and busstand railway station, local bazaars, bank post office, hospitals, Polling Stationetc. Banners will be placed in all the government offices and gram panchayat.Leaflets will be distributed to all the citizens containing information about howto register oneself, how to caste your votes thourgh EVMs and verify throughVVPAT.

Human Chain- Human chain will be formed at schools, colleges and grampanchayat level and in urban area to spread the message of the casting the vote.
Sports Competition – Sports like cricket, kabbadi, khokho and othertraditional games will be organized for the voter awareness. Special preferenceabout the awareness will be given to women, youths and PWD voters.
Cultural Programs – Skit, street plays will be done by Yuva Mandal, SHGs andlocal artist teams in form of dance and will spread the message of informed andethical voting.
Exhibition- Process of how to register oneself, how to check one’s name viaEPIC number, area,etc will be displayed in the exhibition. How the countingprocess in carried out, how the oath is taken and the complete election processincluding awareness about NOTA will be displayed in form of photo gallery, flexand paintings.
