However on the other hand I may not use this method as it is very common and I wish for my website to be different. This Fan website uses lots of videos, which I will also be doing as it makes any website a lot more interesting and interactive. People lose concentration and interest very easily just reading things, so videos will keep them on the website and more enticed into whats going on on screen. This video will be in a div tag. The navigation method used by this website is very similar to the fan made website, in the sense that it is just a plain drop down menu. However this one moves up and down the page with you until it hits the banner at the top, then it stays underneath the banner. Assassins Creed Wiki The AC Wiki has animated background advertisements for other products which will not be included in my website. This will have been made in either After Effects or Photoshop. The navigation method for the AC Wiki is a form of a drop down menu, which means all 3 of the websites I have researched have had drop down menus. This supports my choice to use a different navigation method as I believe the drop down menu is too common and I want my website to be different. Assassins Creed Wiki Continued This website has character profiles which I will have on my website. I will be using this as I believe it is one of the most important features of a game based website, as it lets you delve deeper into the characters background and learn more about them. This is also very important as people can get very attached to some characters and giving them more information about them is often very well appreciated. The Wiki also has slide shows and picture galleries on the home page. I think I will include this in my website as it is a good way for people who dont know the game to become quickly familiar with is by seeing what the game has to offer and what kind of things you can expect to see from the game.
