Front-line: Teams follow procedures when supervisor is around

Front-line Supervisors: Hold 15 minute toolbox meetings every day as required, lessons learned/ action items are not recorded or tracked on a regular basis.

Managers: Visit the workforce once a quarter to observe the culture but rely heavy on the quality team to conduct regular audits.

2nd Exercise

Front-line: Crews are given the opportunity to share lessons learned, opportunities for improvement, quality concerns during toolbox meetings and are not afraid to report concerns or non-conformances.

Front-line Supervisors: Supervisors are involved with quality of work; they encourage continuous improvement and idea sharing.

Managers: Managers regularly visit the workforce and provide “real-time” feedback around productivity, quality and safety culture. They promote quality at all levels of the organization.
