The James W. Burns Executive Education Centre is located a short distance from

Portage and Main in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. We take pride in the

tradition and history of our facilities. Originally built as the new head office for

the Great-West Life Assurance Company, the building officially opened in 1911.

In 1985, this architectural gem was designated a provincial heritage site. Our

renovations to the historic second floor revitalized the space and infused our

facilities with technology essential to fostering innovative discussion

and learning.

We offer the latest digital resources in comfortable, modern classrooms and

breakout rooms, a boardroom, and spacious reception area. The

stately architecture, fine decor and modern amenities are hallmarks

of our exceptional educational experience.

Communication for the Senior Leader Communication for the Senior Leader explores the fundamentals of effective communication for executives who must lead and inspire in the high-stakes interactions they face every day.

Along with a maximum of 10 participants, you will work with an experienced communication coach from the Humphrey Group Inc. to strengthen your ability to inspire others every time you speak. This approach teaches you to adopt the mindset of a leader, to script yourself as a leader, to use the language of leadership, and to speak with a dynamic presence.
