2014 went by like a � ash and we would like to thank our Aspen owners for their help in making it a very fun and unforgettable year. Our owners and fellow boaters helped us bring the year to a close at our annual Christmas party, hosted by Larry & Cathy Graf at their home in Burlington. We had a fabulous turn-out and a great time, complete with slot car racing, delicious food, plenty of drinks, Christmas caroling, and planning what exciting boating adventures we will embark on next season! From the Aspen Family to yours, we hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and wish the very best in this new year. 2015 is � nally here and we are excited for what it has in store for the Aspen Team! Boat show season is fast approaching and preparations are underway!

Aspen C111 Update 2015

It might be hard to believe, but in 12 days we’ll be at the boat show with this boat! Our hope was to have it completed, but the scale of this project is huge. The development continues very well with 2 engineers, 1 document-er and 12 people in assembly; we are full steam ahead. Many of you know, the success is in all the details and this boat has them all just right. We’re very excited to display what we have, as the design orig-inated 3 years ago! Through the combination of our experience and our � rst owners’ ideas, as well as their experience, this vessel is molding into what we believe to be the � nest, most e� cient and capable cruiser ever made in this size range.

Another aspect of this project which is less obvious, is the huge infrastructure that has to be built. We can’t buy this at a store, it’s all custom. Aside from the tooling we’ve had to build: Hull Cart, Deck Cart, Mold Sca� olding, then Production Ramps and Stairs. All of which has been designed, cut, wielded together and painted over the last few weeks!

At this point, we have the engine, machinery, generator, and liners coming together. However, many other components are on back order with our vendors. The hardtop mold is complete which is in lamination as we write this. Unfortunately, the � ybridge mold will not be completed in time for the show. So the C111 will not be � nished at the show, but there’s still lots to see! Guests will be able to walk through all the spaces, feeling the size and grandness of this vessel. Although there will be some construction dust, we will have lots of � owers, beds will be made, and the table set complete with some wine. Our goal is to have a � nished boat available for Demos in March. Stay tuned!

ASPEN POWER CATAMARANS PACIFIC CHALLENGE CHAMPIONS

Vancouver, B.C. June 23, 2014-Aspen Power Catamarans completed a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island non-stop, unrefueled in a C100 32’ production boat, the team competed 641 mile (1009 kilometers) chal-lenge in 47Hrs 5 minutes, on 267gallons (1068 Litters) of fuel, � nishing June 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM. The modern 32’ power proa cat averaged 5.6 gallons per hour at cruise speed.

A second attempt was made on August 27, 2014 by Arrow Cat Power Catamarans. Tracked by SPOT, the ArrowCat 30RS completed 643 miles journey, in 29 hours, on 494 gallons of fuel. The team averaged 17.03 gallons per hour which required them to refuel in Ucluete B.C., about 120 miles NW of Victoria B.C. Congratulations to Aspen & Arrow Cat for de� ning new records within the Marine Industry.

Spring Owner’s Cruise: Port Townsend, June 5-7thOur Spring Cruise is a fun weekend, where new owners have the opportunity to meet existing owners. Also, we invite perspective buyers to come visit and openly ask questions with our Owner’s. This year we’ll be cruising to the Victorian Sea Port of Port Townsend, a beautiful place to stay. With recent marina upgrades, the NW Maritime Center, restaurants, and shops are all steps away from the dock. We are sure to have a blast! Summer Owner’s Cruise: Broughton Islands, July 24th -August 7thAt this year’s Christmas Party, it was a unanimous decision to trek back to the Broughton Islands! This was such a fabulous trip last year that the Team is planning another fun � lled 2 week trip. Aside from the cruise itself, there’s amazing � shing, hiking, kayaking, swimming with dolphins, and resort Happy Hours! We will follow the trip structure from last year, meeting at Poete’s Cove and zipping up to Campbell River the follow-ing day. The day after, we’ll cruise into the Broughtons by mid-day. The show opens at 11:00am on Friday Jan. 23 and the Uncorked event kicks o� at 5:00pm until closing time at 9:00pm. Show-goers will be able to taste their way around the world as they wander through the show, wine glass in hand, checking out boats and accesso-ries. Nine tasting stations will be set up throughout the indoor location, o� ering wines from Argentina, Australia, California, Chile, France, New Zealand and Washington.

The very best in Washington craft beers will be on tap at Sails & Ales Craft Beer Night, the second Friday of the show on Jan. 30th. This event is similar to Uncorked, but with grain instead of grape. Show-goers will be able to cruise around the show with a glass in hand and enjoy the best of Washington craft brews, ciders and boats. What better combination than hops and props?
