AHUs, and VAV terminal units including single duct, dual duct, and fan powered

chiller configuration, chiller types, waterside economizers, pump configurations, and heat rejection

HOW TO SPECIFY Building owners/operators and controls contractors need to demand

HPSOOs as outlined in ASHRAE Guideline 36 Engineer needs to state “control sequences shall fully implement and

be in accordance with ASHRAE Guideline 36 per section 5.7”. One other specification suggestion is the requirement to furnish

documentation the HPSOOs have been preprogrammed and tested by the Controls Vendor to meet ASHRAE GL36.
