Personal statement: As a recent graduate from the University of Greenwich, with a
2:1 BSc honours degree in biomedical science, I have undertaken various laboratory
and case study based tasks/projects, these tasks have enabled me to develop both science specific experience as well as valuable transferable skills, within a fast
paced and high attention to detail industry. Objective: My current objective is to obtain a position so as to gain valuable
experience, within a medical and laboratory background and workplace environment, in order to achieve my career goal to become an accredited biomedical scientist,
whilst carrying this goal out I would like to gain further experience working as part of a team and individually. Educational History:

Work related experience:
Whilst studying at university, I undertook an immunology based practical laboratory
project, which spanned over two months, during which I carried out basic laboratory work such as pipetting, measuring, cell counting, and the use of centrifuges and
other equipment, alongside more complex tasks such as carrying out western blotting and flow cytometry experiments, furthermore during my time at university.
I learned how to tackle case studies, and work to very strict deadlines. Furthermore to the experience stated above, I also carried out a two week trident work placement
whilst at school working as a warehouse assistance for William Ball.

Key skills:
Social skills and competences
I have advanced my social skills by studying in college
and university with in groups and with other people, which has taught me to appreciate others opinions. I have a calm approach, and cope well under pressure.
Organisational skills
While working within the lab environment I have
recorded vital records, temperatures, measurements, etc. In these scientific laboratories there is no room for error.
Technical skills and competences
Can use, computers, and related office equipment, and I
am also able to use, laboratory equipment such as spectrometers, microscopes, pipettes and experience within the university laboratory environment
Computer skills and
competences
I consider my computer skills to be above average as I
have over 6 years of experience working with Microsoft packages.
Other skills and competences
I am good with numbers. I have a great attendance record in school, college and university, I also won two
awards during my studies at college, I am good at communicating with others, have a good sense of humour and an outgoing personality and work well as
part of a team as well as independently.
Hobbies/interest:
Socialising with my friends, watching movies at home, eating out, going to the
cinema, gaming, computer work, reading and studying.
