Ashland’s first worship Sunday is June 14, 2020. The church will not yet be open for other events/meetings.
G Worship Guidelines − - 9:15 - The Path service in Ashland Hall. Please park next to Ashland Hall and enter through Ashland Hall’s front
door only. − - 11:00 – Traditional service in the Sanctuary. Entry is from the parking lot or the side circle drive only. Keep the
circle drive clear, and please use marked park spaces only. Use the double doors only at the rear of the Sanctuary to enter and exit.
− - Church Doors will remain open stationed with ushers providing verbal guidance. − - Signage will be located at all entrances and on the floor to ensure proper congregational movement. − - Use restrooms if absolute necessity. In Ashland Hall, please exit left of the stage and proceed to the restrooms
near the kitchen. From the Sanctuary, use the restrooms near the Narthex. Only one person in the restroom at a time is recommended, unless accompanied by a caregiver or a parent/guardian.
− - In Ashland Hall, chairs will be arranged allowing proper distancing. − - In the Sanctuary, seating is provided in every other pew starting with the second pew from the front. All unused
pews are roped off. If possible, please stagger seating to keep proper distance front and back as well as side to side. − - Family members living under the same roof can sit together. − - Collection plates for tithes and offerings will be placed at the entrance of the worship area. − - All information, scriptures, and liturgies are displayed onto screens. − - Praise song lyrics and words to hymns will be displayed for purposes of observation and meditation only. For your
safety and health, only the Path praise band will sing in the 9:15 service and only the choir will be singing in the 11:00 service.
− - After the service is complete, please wait for an usher to dismiss you by row and exit through the same doors used when entering.
− - Do not congregate inside the building. Rather, engage in conversation, at a safe distance, outside the building.
− Further Guidelines and Actions The general rule to use concerning movement in and out of the building and worship space is: “Always keep to the right.” Please be responsible for your space and your family’s space and be mindful of others. Name tags will not be utilized for now. Coffee time, passing of the peace, and moments of fellowship are suspended for the present. All books and materials are removed from the worship spaces for your safety. Bulletins will not be handed out and bring your own Bible. Bulletins will be emailed. These past three months have been trying times for
sure. It’s hard not being able to gather in fellowship
with one another. I miss playing games, teaching,
and just listening to what each and every one of you
have going on in your life. Thankfully we have the
technology that we can continue to meet from the
comfort of our own homes. Right now we should be
preparing for Salkehatchie, VBS, and tubing on the
river; but we’re stuck at home. MYF will continue to
meet throughout the summer via Zoom. Some
nights we’ll do lessons, others we’ll talk and play
games. If you have ideas on activities we can do, I am
all ears! In addition to our regular Zoom meetings,
we also have a GroupMe chat that is ongoing. We
have a daily devotion and it’s another opportunity
for us to interact together. If you’re not currently
participating in MYF, but would like to, please send
me a message. We would love to have you.
Tuesday night Bible Study will change to a monthly
meeting and then resume again in the fall. Meetings
will be June 10 and 24, July 29, and August 26.
