Analog extension lines can be integrated with the Ascom IP-DECT

system through the use of FXOs (Foreign eXchange Office)

The solution is to have a one-to-one relationship between each

DECT handset and an analogue line

No telephone features will be realized in IP-DECT or the FXO

devices, instead the user uses feature access codes (* # ’R’) to

access features in the analogue PBX

All features supported by the PBX, that can be reached with

DTMF tone and Hook Flash (R-key) signaling, are available from

the handsets

6dB to 2.5dB.

Flashtime

Duration of flash-hook signal generated

by the FXO

If nothing happens - Flashtime is to short

If disconnect - Flashtime is to long

Cadence Ringpause defines the

maximum allowed duration of the ring-

off pause between AC ring-on pulses

Country sets the line impedance for

different countries

Speech Bearer Capability Transmits calls from the interface with Speech

Bearer Capability as standard

Central Office Tone detection When the FXO initiates a call a tone is expected to

be received from the PBX side. If this tone detection

is disabled, the FXO will continue dialing DTMF

tones of the configured number, with a fixed delay of

800ms after hook-off

Check “Alert Tone detection” and “Assume alert”

This speeds up identifying the alerting tone

CallerID 1 standard

Selects the standard in which CLIP is detected and

decoded
