CARING FOR THE CAMPUS
I want to thank the members of our new PARISH LITTER
PATROL. They began last fall patrolling the campus and
parking lot for litter. Their goal is to help keep this parish
of the Lord Jesus Christ beautiful. The Lord’s house ought
to a place of peace and beauty. Candy wrappers, gum, and
other debris distract us from what we are here to do:
Worship God. Before we get into our cars, please take a
moment to look around and pick up any trash. You might
be tempted to think, “It’s not my trash!” As the readings
have been emphasizing lately we are one Body.
In a perfect world, all the trash The Parish Litter
Patrol has picked up has been dropped accidentally.
Unfortunately, they are finding a lot of chewing gum. We
don’t spit gum out in our own driveways; please don’t spit
it out in God’s driveway (parking lot). As Jesus says, “Do
unto others as you would have them do unto you.” Thank
you for not chewing gum in the church, but please, dispose
of your gum (and your children’s) properly in your car or
the garbage cans near the entrance of the church.
Stewardship begins with the little things. Jesus
teaches us that the person who is faithful in little things
will be rewarded with greater. Let us work to be witnesses
of Christ by never littering anywhere ever. People may not
notice that you never litter, but they will notice and be
disgusted if you do. We are always a light on a hill that
can be seen shining the love of God or disfiguring the face
of Christ by our actions. Let us be great Saints by doing
the small things with great love.
God bless,
Fr. Jaspers
PS. If you feel called to join the Parish Litter Patrol,
please contact Ruth in the office.

CUIDANDO LAS
INSTALACIONES
Quiero agradecer a los miembros de la
nueva PATRULLA DE CONTROL DE
BASURA DE LA PARROQUIA. Ellos
comenzaron el pasado otoño a cuidar las
instalaciones y el estacionamiento recogiendo
basura.
adorar a Dios.
