Matthew Moore, 32, was arrested within the past week as part of operation “Broken Rule,” a crackdown on heroin distribution by the Ocean County Prosecu- tor’s Office, according to spokesman Al Della Fave. Moore is accused of conspiracy to possess, with the in- tent to distribute, more than five ounces of heroin, ac- cording to a release from the Prosecutor’s Office. His bail was set at $75,000 with no 10 percent option. Della Fave confirmed this is the same former cop who was arrested May 17. That day, a Lakewood officer reported she found Moore preparing to ingest heroin in the parking lot of a KFC, according to Lakewood Detective Sgt. Greg Staf- fordsmith. Moore was charged with possession of her- oin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was brought to headquarters where he was processed and Matthew Moore, 32, was arrested as part of operation “Broken Rule,” a crackdown on heroin distribution, authorities said.
