Construction continues at Forest Park High School. The Contrac-tor has successfully demolished the existing administrative build-ing, front entrance, and main corridor. Steel erection at the new administrative building, atri-um, main corridor, and stair is ongoing.

Interior renovations at the media center, music rooms, kitchen are complete. Work in these areas include new roof, new flooring, painting, new ceilings, lighting, and HVAC replacement.

tractor has replaced windows, and installed new brick. Interior renovations in classrooms con-tinue.

The project was designed by Manley Spangler Smith Archi-tects and is being constructed by Nix-Fowler Construction. The project completion date is De-cember, 2013.

Group 1— Tara, Lake Ridge, and Harper Elementary Schools.

Group 2— Fountain, Oliver, Lake City, and West Clayton Elementary Schools.

Group 3—Lee Street, Kilpat-rick, and Suder Elementary Schools.

The Construction Department has been working hard along with the project Architects and Engineers to prepare for the next group of renovations and modifications. The following pro-jects are slated for Fall 2013;

The elementary school renova-tions will focus on security. Scope of work shall include ac-cess control, security cameras, upgraded alarm system, and cor-ridor connectors.

Renovations and the Arts Mag-net addition to M.D. Roberts Middle School is scheduled to begin in August, 2013. The pro-posed project work consists of an approximately 50,750 SF Per-forming Arts Magnet building addition with Band, Choral, Or-chestra, Art, Dance and Theater facilities; elevator, site work, new asphalt parking and drive.

The existing building of approxi-mately 153,000 SF will have flooring replacement, interior painting, re-roofing, upgraded surveillance system, new access control, new occupancy sensors,

The contractor has also installed new rubber surfacing around existing playgrounds. New fenc-ing has also been installed be-tween the new road and all play areas.

The construction of the new Mt. Zion Loop Road is complete. The 1/3 mile long road behind Mt. Primary and Mt. Zion Elementary is currently being utilized by par-ents for student drop off and
