his is our 20th Anniversary in the property industry, and throughout our journey, we have had some challenging moments but our high points outweighed

them all.

2018 was filled with incredible experiences that demonstrate how far and how much the Group has grown. It started with 16 Quartz being awarded the World Gold Winner (Residential Low-Rise category) at the FIABCI World Prix d’Excellence Awards 2018.

And during the second half of the year, the team once again outdid themselves by accomplishing several significant goals.

First, was the Topping Off for Nordica and Adria; the first, two of four residential towers at Gravit8; signifying the completion of its superstructure which stands 32-storey tall.

The view from above is impressive and I am excited for Gravit8 owners to experience it for themselves.

Next was the Ocial Launch of Lakepark @ Gravit8 on 10th November; this placemaking 8-acre Lakepark is a sight to behold. The very first pet friendly public park in Klang, it is designed to facilitate greater interaction between neighbours and to foster a healthier lifestyle in the community at large.

To draw in new demographics which consists of young home buyers, we need to adapt with the changing times. These new buyers are tech savvy, well informed and educated. They know what they want, and that is accessibility and proximity to entertainment and an urban lifestyle. Gravit8 offers exactly just that, in a unique, integrated development at an affordable price.

With Gravit8 showing commendable progress and the residential towers achieving good take-up rates, we are excited for the launch of the fourth tower, Ashino, as early as first quarter of 2019.

As we reflect on our past twenty years, we have much to be grateful for. More importantly, we could not have done it without the steady support of our purchasers, business associates and employees.

Let us continue to work as one united team to achieve greater heights.

“For a second, I thought he was actually the real Mr. Bean. Faiket captured his mannerismsperfectly - his signature walk, his hip-swinging dance and even his scrunched-up face.

It was a treat to witness it.” - Mr. Alex Chung, Andaman homeowner.

CHIANG MAI UNCOVERED

n October, 37 Mitraland employees were treated to an all-expense paid 4-day/3-night, company trip to Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand’s largest city. It was

the perfect alternative from the overcrowded streets of Bangkok as the pace in Chiang Mai is undeniably calmer and more laid back.

A popular destination for tourists as it is still steeped in tradition and culture, but has also embraced contemporary customs. From quaint Instagram worthy cafes to modern art galleries, Chiang Mai has something for everyone.

For Mitraland staff, the trip was filled with “must-see” attractions but with plenty of free time to explore the city themselves. The group stayed at Duang Tawan hotel due to its strategic location as it was just a stone’s throw from the popular Night Bazaar which was open daily from 6pm to 12am.

Highlights of the trip were definitely the Elephant Camp visit, where the gentle giants performed a series of amazing feats. Another was experiencing the Karen Long Neck Village, a tribal group most recognised for wearing heavy brass rings around their elongated necks, forearms and shins.

And no trip to Chiang Mai would be complete without a tour of the famous Wat Doi Suthep. The sacred site rests on top of the Doi Suthep mountain and it offers arresting views of the city from the northwest.

In all, the entire trip was a quick getaway for employees to recharge and of course to enjoy each other’s fellowship.

I

“The Karen Tribe Village was denitely an eye-opener and a wonderfulopportunity to immerse oneself in a totally different culture and belief system.

I loved every minute of it!” - Denice Lim
