Dr. Sathya Sai Shree Lakshmi, is an alumnus of Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Ananthapur, the only college in India to have received an "A++" rating by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council . This University is known to confer on its alumni the courage and confidence, the knowledge and skill to shape their career by their own efforts, standing on their own legs and relying on their own strength. This University does not charge fees of any kind right from the first standard upto the Ph.D. course. Education is elevated as an act of service to the rising generation. Learning in this atmosphere, the students will become in later life enthusiastic for service as one must be eager to serve others, not eager to be served by others. The education here while cultivating intelligence in the students will purify their impulses and emotions and equip them with the physical and mental disciplines needed for drawing upon the springs of calmness and joy that lies in their own hearts placing them on the path of self-confidence, self-satisfaction, self-sacrifice and self-knowledge. Some of the distinctive features of this University are integrating values with secular knowledge, inculcating the spirit of self-reliance and service to society, synthesis of science and spirituality for societal benefit. The Sathya Sai Educational Institutions are not merely to enable students earn a living but to make them acquire good traits, lead ideal lives and give them ethical, moral and spiritual strengths. They learn here humility, discipline and faith. Spiritual education is imparted as a main component and worldly education as a secondary one. Spiritual uplift, self-discovery and social service through love and detachment are the ultimate aims. This University is like a Gurukula – a place where teachers and taught grow together in love and wisdom – and like the ancient system of education, it will develop in its students a broad outlook and promote virtues and morals, which serve to foster noble ideals in society. This Institute is a temple of learning where youth are shaped into self-reliant, contented and enterprising idols of action and self-sacrifice, for the purpose of serving humanity.
