Like many artists' beginnings, heracademic experience provided the foundation and encouraged thediscipline needed to weather the screams and cries of an artist's career.Meet an outstanding Tactile Typographer: Dom in iq ue F alla . She hasexplored a diversity of different techniques and media over the yearsand has recently settled into creating typographic pieces for exhibition,using different tactile media.Fred Camargo is the kid that likes to jump fences and explore what's onthe other side. His medium varies depending on his mood. Currently Heis really digging watercolours again. He also enjoys Photography andIllustrations. On this edition's front cover is the work of Ryan No re .     Going back almost 30years ago, more precisely in late February of1981,when the city of Firenzewas submerged under an icy glaze,Beatrice was born to the sounds of screaming and crying. Yearspassand she was sent off for her first day at school where, from the verybeginning of her education, she realized she felt happy and free whilepainting, drawing and scribbling.

    Fastforward to the fateful day when, in Italy, students must choose aspecific high school that will more or lessdetermine their "path" in life.It was then that she decided to fully pursue her earliest passion,enrolling with a focus on Interior Design at the Institute of Art. By2004,she completed her university studies with top honors degree inDecoration from Florence's Academy of BeautyArts. Her thesis topic:"Assymetry, parallelism and chromatic contrasts.'Like many artists' beginnings, her academic experience provided thefoundation and encouraged the discipline needed to weather thescreams and cries of an artist's career.Today, she continues to createand this makes her happy.

    She is also known as the 'Tactile Typoqrapher" due to the specific nature ofher art practice. She has explored a diversity of different techniques and mediaover the years and has recently settled into creating typographic pieces forexhibition, using different tactile media.Originally from Melbourne, Dominique now divides her time between theGold Coast and Byron Bay,and her artistic career spans more than 20 years asa graphic designer, illustrator, artist, author and university lecturer.Dominique has lectured at various educational institutions, and given papersat venous conferences including the Queensland College of Art, CentralQueensland University, KingscliffTAFE, Swinburne TAFE,Monash University,SMAANZ conference in Melbourne and INTEDConference in Valencia, SPAIN.Dominique has had features in art and review publications including: GoldCoast Creative, Twofold, ArtBox Magazine, Winter For Elbows and The HeraldSun.
